The GT drama is weird and sleazy as shit. So the guy's a degenerate serial liar with an impregnation fetish who is incapable of taking wedding vows seriously while he publicly LARPs as a based trad husband and father. That's pretty fucked up, but hardly a big deal in the grand scheme of things, especially in the world of social media "influencers" who are pretty much all soulless liars. At least he kept his impregnation efforts focused on consenting legal adult women.

I guess it speaks a lot about society when a man cheating on his wife with other woman is barely a blip as a scandal.

The older I get, the less Guntubers other than Paul/Roy Harrell I give half a shit about.

I have no interest in watching some zillionaire playing dress up at a range with a rifle I could never afford. (No need to name names, that encompasses nearly ALL of them except for Roy.)

Even Herrera has gotten incredibly stale for me, and I actually have a similar juvenile sense of humor as him.

To be fair they're are mostly given the guns and gear for free in exchange for fair and impartial reviews.

Herrera suffers from "Demolition Ranch plague." Many of the big guntubers are trying to be Demo Ranch, creating mindless slop that's entertaining to redditors and people who have no real interest in guns beyond "what happens when you fire a .50 cal into a Cyber Truck???" If FPS Russia and CarniK Con were Jolt Cola, all these other dudes are Diet Great Value Cola, with ads on the label for debt consolidation services and monthly subscription boxes full of trash nobody wants.

You said it better than I could. I felt there was something that I felt about these channels that, as funny as they are presented, something didn't feel satisfying. Sure, good presentation - but maybe. Eh, don't know...

I think the only reason people care at all is because it betrays him as a phoney. If he never spoke about “dad advice” or attacks on the family or brandished Christian tattoos all over his body he would just be another internet guy who surprise surprise happens to be into some weird shit. Very doubtful guntubers are seen and treated any better than the old media gun and gear reviewers by the companies. Unless the guntuber explicitly said in the video they bought the gun and/or gear. All of it have to be returned to the companies or whomever loan them the stuff reviewed.

This had crop up a handful of times and bit the ye olde gun print media in the ass for not properly disclosing the pertinent "loan, owned and/or sold" status on guns and gear information in the reviews.

More and more the only ones that grab and keep my attention are the channels that are really autistic about certain guns. Britishmuzzleloaders with his english military guns, CapandBall with sporting rifles, Duelist1954 for that old man shooting in the backyard energy.

I only posted because I find the Rational Prepper video so interesting.
RP's videos had decent enough production value despite the actual content. I don't think he was a troll since he never argued in the comments and he also completely disappeared after he got dragged in the comments of the AR15 video. If he justed wanted views his videos were getting a lot of attention, mostly from people telling him he's wrong but who cares if you get the views?

The whole thing is such a mystery.

The first time I ran across the video, like 4 or 5 years ago, I wanted to believe he was trolling. But the other videos on his channel don't imply at all that his channel was meant for trolling. His videos even have nice production/editing. My guess is he was a true blue fudd with a background in professional video production.

I think Eric is just angrily coping with the fact that his internet persona is built around being cannon fodder for Israeli interests when he was a young man. I think it's pretty funny how effortlessly Lucas causes people like this to freak the fuck out and start trying to prove how manly they are. How insecure does someone have to be to have a kneejerk reaction like this? Lucas might be a stringbean flat range larper, but at least he's redpilled on Israel and doesn't associate with trannies (unlike Eric).
