There is additional info listed under charges "Operating Unregistered Vehicle/New Resident Has 30 Days to Register Vehicle". Sounds like he was testing out a new toy, I seem to recall he did a video or two about the modified cars he owns before I stopped watching him. Probably took it out for a spin to test something and forgot that he hadn't registered it yet.

Well, everything fits there. The question is, why is his license suspended? From what people have been saying about custom cars he owns, I'd guess it's probably for repeated speeding/racing tickets.

I've seen body cam videos of cops making DUI arrests on people who weren't intoxicated. They'll nitpick any little thing they thought you did wrong when you perform the FSTs, then deny you the chance to blow into a PBT just so they can make the arrest and let you blow zeroes at the station. One thing I've learned from watching those videos that if they ask you to perform FSTs, they've already decided to make the arrest, regardless of whether you're intoxicated or not. They'll tell you that if you perform the FSTs, it will help dispel any suspicions they have that you're intoxicated. This is blatantly false. They want you to perform the FSTs to help them build the case that you're intoxicated.

I very rarely drink, don't do any drugs, have never driven under the influence of anything, and have never been pulled over under the suspicion of driving while intoxicated, but watching these videos made me realize none of that matters to a cop who wants to make an arrest.

I'm giving Barrow County a wide berth should I ever travel to the USA. Some of the shit these people are locked up for is insane. One guy is locked up for giving a false name or DOB. That's it. No other offences.

Another poor sap was arrested for being a Pedestrian Under the Influence. Since when was that an offence? Sounds like he was smoking weed and walking around as he also caught a charge of possession of less than 1 oz of marijuana.

They should put these cops to work in LA for a little while though. That'd clear up the homeless problem there.

Barrow County is outside of Atlanta and right by the University of Georgia. They are keeping it from getting as bad as Atlanta and arresting college kids too dumb and fucked up to be in public.

Cops in Georgia come in 3 flavors. Big City cops who look for easy prey and spend most of their time trying to not get shot. Post Covid you don't see much traffic cops unless you are really really unlucky.

Are there any underrated yet informative YouTube channels for firearms that seem to be informative and upload videos on a decent schedule? Seems with a bunch of the major ones dying (Paul Harrell), falling off a cliff (GarandThumb), or otherwise stopping (DemolitionRanch) it may cause some opportunities for new styles of videos.


Also what kind of subjects are people around here be interested in? For military history I really like Type 56: The History of China's Army.

I'm just sick of consumerist types of videos that try and push for the Delta carbine or lever guns.

I like the gunsmithing channels. I think it was Royal Nonesuch who got me interested in guns. As a Britbong who is completely unable to own one, I loved the idea that some halfwitted kid was showing you how to build quasi-functional firearms in his garage. SHTF days cometh, that's info. I might need.

Of course, those days are long over. But from Nonesuch I started watching Mark Serbu. And then Mark Novak's Anvil channel. I'm much more interested in restoration than I am in somebody slapping together another AR15 build.

I watch so many of the 2nd Amendment advocacy channels that it's been driving me insane. My wife is always picking me up because I'll be ranting about "...and this is why the second amendment is so important!" when she'll point out that we don't even HAVE a written constitution, let alone one with amendments and the right to bear arms was done away with years ago. But I find myself reflexively just trotting out the arguments without thinking about it.

Last time it happened, we were watching American Primeval. The US Army had sent for reinforcements but the mormons had intercepted their message and was coming to massacre them. I launched into an extensive speech about "This is why we need a second amendment. Because the reinforcements just aren't coming when you need them most and you need to be able to defend yourself when the muslims mormons are coming to massacre you."

She just gave me a withering look. I've no idea how she puts up with me.
