Sounds like Lucas escaped the quiverful cult
Here's my take on the whole situation, it can be essentially boiled down to three major points

1. Lucas was naive/far too trusting/not practically selfish enough
2. Kara (I thought here name was Kayla) is a bizzaro yoko/anisa that (many would argue for the better) fucked up Lucas's life (again, many would argue in a good way)
3. Trex was full of people incapable of making good choices as evidenced by the dick pic situation

>wife asked for a job since she has a chemical engineering degree, lucas recused himself and everyone else in the company ignored her and never replied
>employee sent dick picks to his wife but wasn't fired because he was someone's son
Guess they lucked out by not hiring her, otherwise this would be grounds for a lawsuit.

Is there any evidence that she is a weirdo that fucked up his life? I didn't get that impression from anything at all here.
What I meant by the post was that "she is a figure that came into his life and radically changed it like yoko/anisa but not in a bad way". She did however, by Lucas as own admission, radically alter his future.

Thats the two ways to look at it. Either she's the one manipulating him against his family or she exposed his family's screwed up relationship dynamics. Regardless it sounds like they were not happy that he decided to marry a woman outside of their social sphere and decided to keep her as distant as possible. Another great example of why you shouldn't go into business with family.

She had(has?) bright dyed hair and going off their decision to put off having kids, is less of a fundie than his family. Its worth noting that Lucas has previously claimed to have had atleast one close girlfriend before her, so not quite an Anisa-Ian situation. If you believe him.

Regardless of either of these, his brothers joined him as business partners and ended up as majority owners without paying him, until now. That sounds like something a bunch of Indians would do.

>have ideological differences with the other brothers
>made him get a prenup so his wife wouldn't get control of the company if they split
>neither of them did the same until he pointed it out
>wife asked for a job since she has a chemical engineering degree, lucas recused himself and everyone else in the company ignored her and never replied
>employee sent dick picks to his wife but wasn't fired because he was someone's son
>tried to buy out the other brothers
>they refused
>tried to buy them out for more money
>still refused
>decided to sell his share since they were at an impasse
I think Lucas is a faggot but imagine strong arming your baby brother out of the company he founded.
A chemical engineering degree isn't going to be that useful at a match/gamer tactical gear company, especially if you already have people experienced with materials. I will leave that as the only negative comment because I'm way too biased since I think Lucas is Dunning-Krueger personified.

I can appreciate them divorce proofing Lucas' share, though they were probably right for the wrong reasons. Who knows what Lucas' relationship with his wife is like, the family could of gotten the wrong vibes from her or she doesn't fit the mold of their family and are acting like weasels.

Lucas comes from money, started the company in his teens when he had no real practical experience, and his Dad sat on the board last I checked. Where do you think the seed money came from and who do you think got Lucas going on the right track? I think his Dad was the real owner. Maybe it is shitty the brothers became parasites but at the same time we really don't know the details on how the ownership was structured and we don't know who made that company work; all we got was Lucas being the face of the company. The Dad could of gave them his ownership stake to keep it a family business. Like my comment above suggested, I have a feeling the Botkin family is one of those tight-nit, intermeshed, co-dependent and cult-like families you hear horror stories of people marrying into. This is somewhat relatable in my personal life.

Regardless, I've checked out long ago when it came to Lucas, he has always had way too much influence in the firearms community when I felt he never really earned it. To his credit, this drama arc pales in comparison to GarandThumb's and he looks like the victim.

That’s too bad, an example of what happens when you come from a tight-knit community and marry someone with values different from the ones you held. Even with the best of intentions your spouse is going to pull you away and act as a wedge.

Mix in the family business aspect and the whole situation is just primed to go off the rails. Was there a previous video a year or two ago where they mentioned previous drama and bringing in outside counseling to mediate?

What’s weird is that whoever sent the inappropriate images (is it confirmed literal dick pics?) apparently thought they might have a chance with Lucas wife. I suspect it would be due to gossip from others in the community disparaging the morals of the wife.

Not really. The family has managed to build up some resources over the years, but they've never been swimming in it.

Until Lucas founded TRex, none of the kids ever had what I'd consider a job. They'd do a project once every few years that would bring in some money, but no regular income.
Has it ever been posted in thread about the Botkins and their wealth? The online rumors were Botkin senior had money and some influence in rural Tennessee.

I would be really interested in knowing the details about the family.

EDIT:

It really didn't sit right with me, so I went and looked up Lucas's father, Geoffrey Botkin. https://www.geoffreybotkin.com/about.html

GEOFFREY BOTKIN is a grateful American, husband, father of seven and grandfather of ten. Eight years ago he moved his family out of a city of two million to small-town, rural Tennessee. He is involved in the life of his local community, local church, and local business; he serves on the board of T. Rex Arms. He also serves on a national consortium of business executives, entrepreneurs, military and government officials, computer professionals, academicians, state and local law enforcement, all of whom share an informed interest in hardening the vulnerabilities in America’s critical infrastructure.
Lets take this on good faith and Geoffrey Botkin is indeed invovled with all this. It would be a little hard to achieve all this riding the coat tails of his son's success. This reminds me of Belle Janke's dad too., he had connections and wealth.

Again, maybe this is worth investigating.

I don't remember the exact details but a couple years ago Lucas was doing a livestream on twitch (playing Battlefield 4) and he talked a little about his family and early life (it might be archived on his twitch channel but idk)
-Dad did some kind of work in D.C at least during the 2nd Reagan admin or Bush 1
-some time during the 1st Clinton admin Dad (and either I don't remember the exact details or Lucas was vague) decided that he and the entire Botkin family needed to move to New Zealand (I want to say that Lucas made some kind of implication regarding his father's motive boiling down to "I don't feel safe residing in the country anymore" and might have had something to do with something political)
-This happened some time after April 1993 because Lucas was born in San Antonio, TX during that period
-I think Lucas said he lived in NZ until he was 12 so that would place the Botkin's return to the US at 2005/6
-Isaac worked in local TV in NZ

I don't think his dad is a CIA Nigger or anything though.

The Botkins have always been fart-huffers.

Like TRex, which has claimed that they train special forces and shit, the hype and the reality are different.

I can confidently state that Lucas singlehandedly started a business out of his garage, and when he started getting orders, he brought his family in, then started hiring people in the church, and it grew from there.

He was never "just" the public face of the company, he built it and everyone else in the family is there in some kind of nepo role.

He's kind of a douche but he's getting screwed over for a few reasons and none of them are his fault as I understand.

In his History of the ATF videos Isaac mentioned how he and his dad were on site in the immediate aftermath of the assault on the Branch Davidian complex in Waco, so that timing lines up.

I'd never heard of Lucas/T.Rex Arms until today. I'd initially skipped the video, thinking it was of no interest, but I ended up watching it. @Pignat's summary seduced me into it.

I found Lucas somewhat convincing, albeit somewhat naive. If his business was so lacking in value to him that he could gift various family members big chunks of equity, you can't really complain about it later.

If the vision really does come from Lucas, I have no doubt whatsoever that he'll be able to replicate that success. Hangers on and leeches can rarely create anything themselves, so perhaps his family members will keep T.Rex ticking over, perhaps it'll grind to a halt. From this point on, he owes them nothing. Good luck to them in their future endeavours. He's gifted them a huge asset. He can feel good about that.

I have a family member with a very successful business. Nobody else in my family would as much as dream of asking them for a job, let alone for a free chunk of their business. We sit and watch while he hires incompetent morons and pays them enormous salaries, but nobody ever thinks 'I could do that. I'm Yosser Hughes. Gizza job.'

Because that would just be weird.

Comparing he and his brother makes Lucas out to be naive and trusting, which is unfortunate because he is absolutely the face of that brand. Love him or hate him, he has actual feelings whereas the brother is a businessman and this is proof. He isn't handling it as a PR issue, he's acknowledging how personal it is and setting his former brand on fire on his way out.

Brandon from Trex is doing an interview with FocusTripp. Biggest claim so far is that the "pornographic images" sent to Lucas' wife were of a furry anime type webcomic and that they were sent on accident. Lucas supposedly committed multiple fireable offenses in the past and this was taken into account when deciding not to fire the employee. Brandon's breaking point with Lucas was that Lucas threw a party after he announced his departure and let everyone know who sent the texts. He claims that public shaming is unchristian.
