Edit-

For some background, someone else posted the link above and that was the head of the AZ CDL's response.

these people wouldnt know folk music if it hit them on the ass
I'm seeing the term "folks" used a lot more in leftist communities in place of the meme'd "comrade".
Funnily enough another group used to do that leading to Volkssturm and Volkswagen...

Imagine your family having to see that monstrosity of a turkenelli going into evidence in your murder case.

But it’s much later and you’re obviously unhappy with the situation. He offered to pay for it or ship it back because he works on his own schedule for getting stuff done; I don’t see how that’s unreasonable.
You're right, I'll resolve it offline & on my own dime. Just disappointed more couldn't have been made of it, the thing was pretty amusing.

Those people and Hitler actually got the folks stuff from the same place. One of Hitler's intellectual granddad's also taught W.E.B. DeBouis...

Here is Karl fighting some more WWSD strawmen

So instead of first presenting the video entirely as a cool historical vignette & on its own merits, it has to be framed as a haters gotcha instead? I would've been able to finish watching if he hadn't broken it up to argue every point, even listening to his full commentary at the end; instead the whole thing sounds like an argument with Reddit.

That's because it is.

Rhetorical, but still. This one should've been fielded by Sinistral; because like Stoner, Russ is the one who did the blueprints & was responsible for the manufacturing, QA/QC, customer service, etc.

If I had been completely ignorant of Karl & the KP-15, and a google search brought up complaints on Reddit/arfcom/kiwifarms/etc; the next step would've been looking for statements directly from manufacturer/designer, not their shill on YT.... even (or especially) if they're an official shill, and it wouldn't matter if it was Karl, Ian, or anyone else.

And because Sinistral has already addressed the technical issues directly on multiple parts of the internet, this video is more like beating a dead horse than anything. The Stoner interview could've easily been presented on its own merits without needing to be broken down.

The KP-15 is one component of the WWSD project; it is not THE WWSD project. The rifle specs and features were Karl and Ian’s and we were responsible for manufacturing/building them. Karl is more qualified to speak to the decisions for the over all rifle project than I am for this reason.

Qualified is probably not the word to use, rather he was obligated to lead the conversation having more or less initiated the project.
There's not much else that's complicated other than specifying which brands bring what to the table and I'd argue you're quite qualified to talk about the parts themselves, rather than their selection, having facilitated most of the manufacture at this point. While the annoyance of justifying this compilation of parts and features is understandable, he never finished the series discussing parts selection which has grated on quite a few people waiting for it.

The specs & features are all fine & good, but issues I've seen have all been related to manufacturing processes, though they stem from those spec/feature choices, and you've effectively addressed those. I just wouldn't ask a project manager about specific technical problems if the engineers are willing & available.

The things Karl addresses in this video are related to the over all concept/features not nuanced details like why the pins aren’t captured in the lower. He’s addressing why these choices were made, not the detailed execution of the parts. He’s one of the two people who made these decisions, so he is the best person to address it.

I may do a common KP-15 questions/misconceptions video at some point to address things specifically related to the lower.

Maybe so; but I think you're not giving yourself enough credit, especially considering time & workload. I always thought it was more like a triumvirate anyways.

That would help considerably, and is something I can specifically show people who've turned away from WWSD for personal reasons (such as hating on Karl or Ian). I'm pretty sure they don't even know that anyone other than those two are responsible for it... willful ignorance is disappointingly common, even given the amount of information available now.

Edit: I've seen the highlights of KP-15s being manufactured, but a quick how-its-made from start to finishing would help answer a lot of unasked questions, and add to the humanity-side of WWSD. No commentary really even needed.

Noted; I just didn't see it on your website (RECOIL is an entirely separate conversation on its own), and don't recall seeing it linked on any InRange or FW videos.

Now that I think on it, I can't recall any other firearm designers/teams with this level of ongoing personal interaction across multiple media platforms, Serbu being maybe the closest.... which is both encouraging & exhausting to think about.
