My kneejerk reaction is that they're jealous and didn't like him cavorting with Morphy's and their full-auto goodness, but with how much publicity he gives both it still wouldn't make sense.

Yeah. I figure it's RIA wanting exclusivity, or Ian wanting money, with a heavy bias on the former.

I think RIA's massive success with their sporting auction 3 years ago was partly due to him. The one RIA employee even told him he had an impact on prices. I don't know how much he influenced the expensive auctions, though.

It's possible they insisted Ian make a video on a gun he wanted to buy, he refused since he has stated before he doesn't publish videos on guns he's interested in, and it escalated from there.

Either that or the coof travel issues made RIA think they don't need him anymore. Who knows. Ian is reserved enough we're probably not going to get a clear answer from him.
