Reading the blurb, it seems that the Ranger Carbine(tm) is supposed to look like a hunting rifle until you snipz00rz some military d00dz with it -- which they will not see coming because it's not a scary AR-15!

Yeah, it's a scoped longarm. Under military occupation, you're not inconspicuous at all.

You could absolutely get a beavertail installed. Springfield had an article on their site about having one of the new SA-35s worked over by Cylinder&Slide, and that was one of the things they did.

It was the second ever pistol I owned. 20-something Corn Flakes didn't know where to find aftermarket parts. Also, he got a great deal and some cash back trading that Hi-Power for a nice Glock.

I still like Glocks to this day, actually. They aren't perfect by any measure but they're fun to plink with and I'm very familiar with mine at this point.

UPON FIRST USE, THE CHEAP PLASTIC USED IN MY KP-15 LOWER QUICKLY CAUGHT FIRE AND RELEASED A THICK ACRID SMOKE THAT BURNED MY LUNGS IN A MANNER THAT I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED SINCE BEING PUT ON BATTERY BURN PIT DUTY AT FOB SHANK.
