General GunTuber thread

I'm ambivalent about Kyle. While I support what he did and I'm glad that he won, really not interested in him as a person. At the end of the day he's still pretty much a child and I'm not really interested in a child's perspective on the world.
My rule of thumb is this: Has Tucker mentioned them on his show? If the answer is yes, that person or topic has been successfully laundered into controlled opposition and can be disregarded.

I mean, this is a middle finger to BRCC. And Brandon is a retard, but he doesn't GLOW. I don't follow his sphere though, so I don't know if anyone else in the crew does.
In fairness to Brandon, he was loudly supporting Rittenhouse when a lot of other gun tubers were oddly silent.

Rittenhouse has proved the efficacy of the forward assist. So together with shooting a pedo and a guy who tried to strangle his own mother, that's a fair list of achievements for an 18 year old.

Ian and Karl triggered by this.

It’s why he went on Brandon’s channel and not either of theirs yes I’m sure that’s the only reason.
Are you really surprised that two couch commandos that don't know shit about fighting would be autistically butthurt that a mere child destroyed their claims?

It's like with their civil defence version of their stoner rifle. It was so detached from reality. They both seemed to have a complete lack of understanding about how military issue rifles need to be rugged.

Ian in particular has made remarks in the past about how soldiers just break stuff, I think he used that old cliché about them being able to break a ball bearing if left alone in a room with it. Soldiers don't just take their rifles out of their rack for a few hours to larp as operators. They have to carry their rifles with them everywhere for weeks on end. They get knocked about, exposed to all sorts of crap, and usually never fired until a range package at the end of an exercise. If he could follow say a mechanic in an armoured unit over a three week exercise where he has to drag his rifle along as he works on vehicle, he'd see how much abuse they need to be able to take.

It's the same sorta deal as tool guys. Someone like AvE might not make any sense when he tears apart a perfectly good tool, admits that it's pretty good, but then immediately trashes it as not good enough or not tough enough, but if you've worked oil rigs or actual construction jobs you've seen how atrocious those tool's living conditions can be and no one can fully understand it until they've seen it.

They did a stupid range vid about pistol grip shotguns a few years back were they trashed talked them. Went on how the pistol grip causes them to jam all kind's of stupid shit so hearing about there crazy talk about the forward assist did not surprise me.
I'v owned a Mossberg 500A since I was !9 and never had any issue with jams and I have put a lot of rounds thru it, but you see how crazy they over things on guns.

Did they mean Shockwaves or were they including pistol grips with stocks?
It was pistol grips without stocks, because they didn't feel like dropping the cash on a real Shockwave.

Ian has recently done a video (sans Karl, natch) revisiting the Shockwave, though.

Long story short: skill issue.

Ian is kind of a nincompoop when it comes to the everyday practicalities of firearm usage. I appreciate his historical research on old guns, but he should leave the opining on what works for modern shooters to guys like that autistic dweeb Paul Harrell.
Ian follows an "academic" tradition, so he relies on shit he's read or people he's talked to for his information. Turns out, there are a lot of people out there talking absolute bullshit when it comes to guns and their usage. And he really should know better at this point.

Confirmed: Karl Russell Phagan is still fat.

Was about half way through the video when I realized he had Warhammer 40k scroll things on his back and (what I think is) the Weyland Yutani logo on the buttstock of his WWSD rifle.

Cant quite get a good enough shot of the QR code to scan it.

He ranked 2nd so did a pretty well overall.

Meanwhile, Paul Harrell addresses the eternal shotgun controversy and... doesn't really say much.

But at least we got to see him shooting skeet. That's pretty rare. No meat target test, but if you're getting hit by buckshot at close range 12 or 16-gauge will blow a hole in you all the same.

Oh, yeah. All jokes aside, Phagan is a good shot and usually does well in 2-gun.

(STG-44)Damn, even owning a replica would be the tits.
Administrative Results

Edit: not sure why there's no thumbnail, I guess I'm a retard.

About 10 years ago one company tried to make STG-44 replicas but in current years calibers not the original 7.92x33 Kurz. Which from what I seen agrod the fuck out of everyone who saw that press release.

I don't remember people ree-ing over it except for the fact that no one could actually deliver on the gun.
