General GunTuber thread

Libtards like Karl only want guns so they can shoot the people they hate, they don't actually care about the 2A. The only reason Karl hasn't gone on a shooting spree in a church is because he's too much of a narcissist to be gunned down during such a massacre and is too aware to see himself incarcerated afterwards if he didnt die.
On the other hand, I would fucking love to read about some almost dead Greatest Generation guy in a church who represents everything Karl hates, dome his ass with a .357 Sig.

One other thing I forgot, Karl gets cash for every WWSD rifle sold, he's filed with the court that InRange has monetary reasons to be watchin the trial or however you wanna put it in lawyer lingo. Retard really thinks people will buy his "Warrior of the 2nd Amendment!!!!!!" holier-than-thou schtick lmao

Karl gets cash for every WWSD rifle sold
Hence why I didn’t buy one despite the rifle looking interesting enough for me to try it out.
I straight up asked Russ and he said “yeah Karl gets money from the sales.”
So I noped the fuck out of that idea.

"2A for you but not for thee" does apply to some arfcom retards, particularly with suppressors, but Karl cannot handle the bantz yet again.
You will never convince me that some of the most effective proguncontrol operatives in the last 35 years or so have been anyone but the boomer NFA "investors" who want to drive the desirability and price of their shit to the moon.

A classic in the baptist and bootlegger phenomenon.

Duelist1954 is a based boomer. He can chew my bare balls any day.

Also the level of autism about making good black powder in Like Fire and Powder is amazing (by Brett Gibbons of the Paper Cartridges channel). GOEX fans on suicide watch.
Bloke on the Range is interesting, its interesting to see how the implicit assumptions are different between Euro and American Gun Culture.

From what I'm gathering it seems a lot of people agree that big guntubers are a bunch of faggots. I personally like Paul Harrell and Ian McCollum mostly, but I barely ever check into any of the others. Between the saccharine sweet faux positivity, the constant shilling for awful companies, many of them refusing to address politics directly related to their "career", and the generally phoned in videos, I just don't see the appeal usually. Maybe they were more entertaining a decade ago.

I've been watching this guy Tools&Targets and I dig most his stuff. His opinion on the ammo shortage is incredibly smoothbrained by and large, but his gelatin tests are pretty consistent and he tests a lot of cartridges and loadings that get ignored in favor of big name boutique shit that has been done to death. His tests singlehandedly convinced me that 10mm is a meme cartridge and I'm better off just buying higher dollar 9mm ammo or even just NATO ball for a wilderness cartridge than dealing with all the marked up 40 S&W cartridges labeling themselves 10mm.

Nikoesht is another small time guntuber who I think is pretty entertaining.
Every guntuber I watch swears up and down 40 S&W is dead, and yet it is not only still here, but my friend that I got into firearms over the past year is planning on buying one and won't have his mind shifted one bit, despite shooting 9mm and 38 special. I also can attest 10mm is overhyped, gun shops rarely have ammo in my area, and when they do, slim pickings. Ian and his gun autism is very much my speed, and I throughly enjoyed his PTRS-41 video, mostly because I have a SKS lol.

One of the things is that 10mm gets a higher baseline usage than 40S&W. So a lot of the big box stores end up running out of 10mm in the middle of the week. Meanwhile 40S&W just kind of stacks up and doesn't move much volume. At least that is what I have been able to glean from asking around due to my fanatical devotion to the cartridge.

10mm also seems to be a very regional cartridge, if you live deep in the suburbs it can be harder to find than deep in the sticks. Since I travel so much for work, I have seen a lot of that first hand.

All that said, 40S&W with modern loadings is perfectly reasonable and I wouldn't turn my nose up at it.

I've found that 40 is pretty easygoing in terms of handling, certainly more than 45. One thing I did notice, that during all the riots, 40 was one of the few you could still find in any amount. Same with 10mm, and in my case, 38 special, which was bought specifically due to all the looting. I would like a 40 and a 10mm one day, 40 more for day to day/ car use, due to being able to break through auto glass, a noted advantage over 9mm, and 10mm for fun/ animal protection. Where I live there aren't really bears, but we do have moose, which are nasty if you piss them off or mess with their kids.

Bloke is a victim of both terminal autism and being British, he is best observed from afar and with respectful skepticism.
Any contact will result in his utter disdain and unfulfilled expectance that you already know what he does.

The Chap seems okay though.

I used to think 40 S&W was obsolete up until I started seeing some tools&targets videos and seeing that A) 40 is much better than I thought, and B) the "better" 10mm is fucking shit unless you buy one of like three loadings on the market that actually bothers to try load to 10mm pressures, which they all claim they do. The 40 Hornady Critical Defense had some of the best disruption, expansion, and penetration out of any straight walled autoloading pistol cartridge that I've seen tested, which is honestly just nuts. I was actually so disappointed by most 10mm being 40S&W +p at best during the testing videos that I decided I'll get a 357 sig for my autoloading bear cartridge in the future, and I'd only buy a 10mm so I had a gun that could run two cartridges rather than one. I've also known more than a few dudes IRL that love it and swear by it, so I doubt 40 S&W will go anywhere, and will probably end up a distant but still respectable runner up to 9mm.

I'll definitely be adding a 40 S&W pistol and carbine to my collection in the future, much to my surprise.

I'll agree with that. If all you can find is 10mm Blazer (and many times that is all these shmucks stock) then a generic 9mm or modern 40S&W load is just as good or better. 10mm is unfortunately just one of those munitions that you have to be picky about, not because of reliability, but because of power.

Of course I have been hand loading most of my 10mm for years now, so while I am not quite at Bubba's Pissin' Hot Handloads territory, I am at full spec. That said, even the lowest load powder puff 10mm will still kill someone dead, it'll just do so with a lot of underutilized capability.

I actually really like the 357 Sig cartridge, but you better make sure that you can find ammo in your region, a lot of places don't hardly stock it at all. It's one of the hardest "popular" cartridges to obtain in my home region.
