It's worth pointing out that for all his many faults Karl occasionally has an original thought, and can produce decent content when he wants to. I think even a lot of the people in this thread, that laugh at him for his dumb shit do actually watch his content for non ironic reasons.
His take on why you would be better off with a smoothbore musket than a rifle in the 18th century, was not something I'd heard before and his reasoning made sense.
I don't want us to get to the point where we're making excuses for gay shit, just because we don't like the guy.

Yeah Karl's absolutely savage comebacks of "Are you a communist too?" got them really upset, I'm sure. If Karl hadn't went full spaghetti and arfcom mods didn't have a stick up their ass over Karl we could have maybe even seen a rival thread to this one. I think most of the arfcom posters would have rather had Karl and Russel stay in the thread rather than have been banned.

Arfcom is a private company. They can do whatever they want. The First Amendment only protects you from government censorship. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences. Hate speech isn't free speech.

That said, some of his content is fairly unique on YouTube. In his own retarded way, he's tried to explain how firearm ownership has a proven history of helping marginalized communities. He's delved into the practical applications of firearms for a civilian, in a way that Ian McCollum hasn't (or is afraid to) . His understanding of history is also pretty nuanced, and he's adept at taking historical events forgoing the Larping and connecting it to the present day.
I think that his problems are he's a bit of a bully, he's lazy, he's disinterested in developing his video making skills (he's a professional fucking YouTuber) and he starts fights with people in an uninteresting way (again he's lazy, he should make response videos).
I'd be interested to see what's happening on his Patreon and if he's talking to his paypigs in the same way. I support a small historical creator on Patreon and I together with a lot of his other patreon give him shit(critiques) so that he keeps his eye on the ball.

His problem is that he's on social media.
90% of his idiocy would be nicely hidden away if he didn't sperg out on Twitter, Boomerbook, Reddit and forums. He could still be producing the content he produces, platforming whoever he wanted, and he'd have a lot fewer stress lines on his face. But he's a lolcow, and he's woke. Which means he takes himself too seriously twice over. So he can't just ignore the haters and move on, he has to reply, he has to shout, he has to flail wildly and make accusations.
And that's why he's such a regular content provider for this thread. For contrast, take @SinistralRifleman. He's got his own hot takes and questionable choices in friends, but despite his autism he's better at keeping some things to himself. For instance, even if he were secretly a furry with an AR-15sona, we wouldn't know about it unless he posted it somewhere. Meanwhile, Karl would be putting up his anthropomorphic WWSD-sona with baby-blue-white-and-pink markings all over his twitter, retweeting fanart, and then crying about it when people rightfully called him a fag over it.
