General GunTuber thread

I understood it that those weren't made in Hungary but were rebranded Russian production
i don't think it was ever proven but was highly suggested by those who knew things about SVDs. I don't know the first thing about so i can't say.

If it was proven those who imported them would have been prosecuted by Biden & company for sure. like Mr. Vickers was.

It was inconclusive, even under ATF scrutiny, so there is no proof of this.
Flandre, pre-trooning, did take a look at both the first generation and second generation and showed that it was a close copy at the very least if not parts directly from Russia without markings.

People own Dragunovs in the US, though, and the HD-18 is available for importation.
I tried to find where I heard that they couldn't be imported, and I think it may have been from MAC himself. It also seems he may have exaggerated things somewhat (or I misinterpreted what he said). It seems there was a batch of them that had issues with importation thanks to their FCG featuring an auto-sear (acting as an out of battery safety) but the ATF was satisfied with the importers simply removing that part before importing them. Future batches either had the piece removed from the start, or had the FCG be slightly reengineered to remove its necessity.

Public ranges are a total clown show, especially when the coloreds show up. That's why I still go to them occasionally, they're funny and if I get lucky I can see someone die.
Probably the only practical time to wear plates. I’ve seen 5 of them crowded around 1 lane making a ruckus and mag dumping into a target 3 feet away and hitting the ceiling. There was also the time one brought a Glock with a switch and couldn’t understand why the owners told him to wait for the cops. And don’t get me started on the future doctor or astronaut who brings a Draco to a pistol range.

Im finna cop me a 7.5 AR-10 wit da brake on it for those upstanding citizens

I gotta be honest I really dont get his appeal for anyone who isnt a 75 iq mouth breathing sheep.

Guy fired a few rounds from a Lati. Into the ground 20 feet away. Who the hell is entertained by that? Guy has the means to actually show what 20mm can do and instead is shooting into the fucking dirt.

Same thing with his video of "anti drone" 50cal ammo. Fucking shooting 2 liters at 5 feet. What the fuck?

It's for kids and boomers, the jingly-keys of GunTube. To his credit it's probably very easy money at this point.

I couldn't agree more. I say the same thing about Demo as well, but at least he's retiring.
I just plain have zero interest in watching some zillionaire showing off his range toys that cost 5-6 figures apiece.

Hell, it's why I've mostly stopped giving a shit about Herrera's videos outside of Gun Meme Review. (I have a 14 year old boy's sense of humor so those videos are basically tailor-made for me.)

That and the Darwin Awards ones, mostly because I like watching retards catch consequences.

I quite like the guy, but I can't watch his channel. Once I've seen a man shoot a large calibre, high recoil weapon and trash a cheap table once or twice, I'm kinda done

I've always wanted him to find some sort of content I could watch, but his schtick must work for him and I'm just not his intended audience.

Demolition Ranch, I didn't even like the guy who presented it. The whole thing just seemed boneheaded dumb to me.

Get ready for the attempted normalization of the Forced Reset Trigger(FRT).
With the ATF essentially and temporarily defunct, the FRT has been gaining ground as a more portable and less clunky version of the bumpstock of yesteryear. While the result is outwardly similar to fully automatic fire for which you must hold the trigger down to shoot uninterrupted, you're still depressing the trigger for each round it fires while the cycling of the action attempts to force the trigger to reset to the unfired position. The intricacies of this system lends itself to work better in more violently cycling rifles, a properly gassed action(very typically 20" rifle barrel/heavy buffer setups) will often fumble where an overgassed carbine with a standard buffer weight will see no problems. Pistol caliber ARs will have no trouble due to how violent the cyclic rate is.
This is not comparable to the autosears or "switches" attached to pistols which has become prominent in urban criminal elements.

My schizotheory is that people took notes from the "pistol brace = stock" amnesty offered by the ATF and are attempting to flood the market with these triggers to influence another amnesty geared towards machine guns; the registry is closed, machineguns are legal, new machineguns are owned by law enforcement("manufacturers" and SOTs do not own them shut up) so theoretically they are not banned and that may leave an opening.

I assumed that they were either going for what you said, or more optimistically, hoping that they could get enough of them into circulation to be ruled "common use" in a future court case (:optimistic::optimistic::optimistic: I know).

So far I've only seen FRTs for ARs, so I don't know if they would work in other types of firearms. If they do, I wonder if a HK roller type rifle would work well, considering how violent the action is compared to an AR.

There are FRT's for MP5's, G3's AK's, Glocks, AUG's, MCX series guns, M&P's, vz.61'S as well as several custom made DIY firearms and ones in the works for PSA Jakl's, Stribogs and probably a few others I can't think of off the top of my head.
"S3igu2" is the guy when it comes to FRT design, wants to make one for a 249S.
