the quality is astounding. more and more its the kind of gun content i prefer. lots of information and good production value. British muzzle loaders scratch that itch for me as well.

It's like Tales of the Gun but without the fudd lore and the mention of a Soviet arsenal in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Watch the episode about Russian guns and you can hear the narrator say Tulsa instead of Tula once or twice.

Othias is great and his show is probably actually better, but the fat guy from the national archives or whatever is just so infectiously excitable.

Finally listening to C&Rs part 2 of QnA and didn't expect othais to reference rekieta and how many Gun YouTubers are degenerates and he can't trust them lmao. I can't even imagine. Time stamped. Love ya, Othais, btw the C&R website isn't working. For your concerns about if Patreon ever kicks you off. I think a lot of what Null does to support the site may work much better for you. Things like Echecks you probably wouldn't have any payment processor issues with like Null does, and Locals as a direct Patreon replacement. Even locals hosts Null.

The fact of the matter is these people just want all the benefits of a right wing society with doing none of the things to maintain it they want to go to church on Sunday and have sex with a bailey legal woman Thursday.

No idea who the gay gaming YouTuber you're talking about is, but otherwise yeah, it's something I can't stand about gun YouTube. I've said it all before, but they're man children. They play with their toys and shill, seem to generally treat women like shit (they probbaly get between them and their toys and bros!) and cheat on them all the time. They have no principals. It's all a grift. Garand thumb is like the poster child for this but he's just one of many. All juiced up with T trying to retain their masculinity, wearing hats to hide the balding, spending all day at the range neglecting their family, cheating, shilling, and eventually bending the knee to leftists as their fan base finds out how degenerate they are and gives them shit for it, but lefties won't

I think there was a communist leader who said I have no time for weekend revolutionaries.
There was also a southern conservative politician who said the exact same thing about northern conservatives conserving nothing and having no actual concrete principles they live by.

It's the same reason the religious white collapse too many of them got busted having sex with gay prostitutes and snorting cocaine off men's wieners
 
It is harder than you might think to be "a good person." Especially if you want to be ambitious. It's also difficult to put into words what public opinion can do to someone. If you are not truly humble, it will make you feel big. That's when you make mistakes.

Most of the drama we see is largely from there being two types of gun creator, though it may be more of a spectrum. The first is the "theater kid" gone macho. These guys wanted fame from the start. A lot of the old guard is the other end: honest hobbyists/autists who want to share. Social media, however, comes with a lot of problems you can never really be trained to deal with ahead of time.

I generally like the latter kind of guys, even when they get twisted up over time. They mean well and you can accept their faults. The former, however, have always annoyed me. I reflexively resist giving attention to people who want it above all else.

Personally, I just try to keep the show on topic. I have to let some personality through to keep funding coming. That's because people will only support people. I try to do this as responsibly and direct as possible. I want to avoid the slippery slope of being some parasitic streamer feeding on loneliness. I would rather have avoided any and all personal celebrity if I could have. I don't get excited to be recognized and yet it's also always nice to be recognized because it means the work is appreciated. Also when I am, it's almost always someone who enjoys my same interests, so chances are we will get along. So that part is nice.

Is there ever any pressure, from either prospective would-be sponsors or media platforms themselves, to associate with specific other content creators or to appear in certain events or social circles?

I mean we get it man. That's probably very smart thinking on your part cause even if you did include some other guntuber or other niche celebrity on your show, all you might get is a minor immediate boost in viewership while opening yourself to a controversy down the line. Personally I know me and my brother both like your videos and the time you put into exhaustively cataloging and focusing on all the details. So I'd say you're making the right choice and believe me, any of us on kiwifarms have seen all too often what happens when some content creator grows too big of a head. It's a tale as old as time for us, so your decision to be cautious and concerned about the slippery slope is a relief.
