Ian has to be a bit of a fence sitter to get the access he does, but what I've never understood on the "unhinged leftist" argument is that from what we can see of his politics he's probably a neo-con who seems to be on the "the whole world should be surface level diverse but driven by western values and everyone being vaguely nice in an undefined way" bandwagon.

The funny thing is that neocons literally originated from former Trotskyists, the most obvious example being Irving Kristol (Bill Kristol's dad). So being a neocon is about as close as you can be to being a secret communist. I don't think Ian really believes in the neocon cause, I think it's just convenient because it can get him access to all of these European gun collections. He pals around with NAFOtards because those are the types of people attracted to the military, for whatever reason.

The type of people who PRETEND to know a lot about the military. They're all fat neverserveds who at best have some useless bureaucrat job in DC. Your average gun range in a red area has more members who ACTUALLY know how weapons/the military works than all of NAFO/OSINT combined.

My take on Ian's politics has always been that he just doesn't care, beyond laws directly affecting gun laws. He just wants to make some money being autistic and recording it, and just says or does whatever makes that easier. If he does have any strongly-held political beliefs, he's had the sense to keep Ian the presenter and Ian the man separate for the most part.

IDK man, I don't feel like a cultist, I'm just not seeing it. If you have nonpublic information, or even a presentation of public information that makes sense I'm all ears and I suspect most everyone else is too.

Karl is very bad, and those guys were joined at the hip for a long time. I'm willing to believe Ian also bad, but all I really see is shekel-grubing.

If the criticism is that he's inauthentic then I'm absolutely onboard. I think he definitely cucks out to "stay neutral" when he doesn't have to and would probably be benefited by not doing it. He's totally put his foot in his mouth on the sig thing.
