Was actually looking forward to watching another 9-hole reviews podcast with Calvin, except that YouTube nuked the stream and gave a strike to 9-hole reviews.

I'm shocked you left off his flunky, Richard Cranium. That guy sounds like he is in his early 40s and uses female anime girls as his avatar on the streams. That guy is downright creepy and supposed trad family man FocusTripp just keeps him around and pays him to do janny shit and video edits.
 
FT is much better watched as clips, his full stream isn't something I'd ever watch as anything other than background noise while I'm doing other stuff.

Without Brassfacts and Hop, his stream isn't worth watching, clipped or not. He got lucky with the Botkin - T-REX arms split but other than that it's not that interesting and generally his guests are boring nobodies. He lost me at all his predictions of AR-15 makers going under like Aero and SOLGW. Aero is hanging in there, barely but SOLGW apparently has a future after winning that SOCOM contract. This brings me to my next point, if he doesn't like a company for whatever reason, he says they are going to go under and seems to bash what to do. For example, with SOLGW, he hates their marketing which is boomer-lite tier with the skulls and gun bunnies and then just rails against the company without ever using any of their products. Last summer he flat out said they are next to go under and his guest panel agreed with him without a single challenge raised. Months later SOLGW won the SOCOM contract and he still wants to sling mud at them because of the owner's politics rather than admit he was wrong. Great, do the same for Daniel Defense and Geissele since their owners have some bad politics too, albeit less vocal.

I'm surprised he maintained relevancy after Ian released his opinion video on the Sig P320 that rebutted some of FT's "insider" claim's. Of course FT didn't handle it well and doubled down on his source.

I genuinely don't get it. Yeah anime and the otaku thing is degenerate, I get that and I agree. On the other hand however anime has become such a mainstream thing at this point that even people who aren't otakus or weebs can reasonably be expected to have engaged with it and even enjoyed it. The guys who just lose their shit over anime at this point need a new joke.

I don’t think the problem is “anime.” Even though people watch FT for 2A related things, if Focus were playing (mainstream) Pokémon Red or watching Yu-Gi-Oh, I don’t think anyone would care. But he was playing horse girl tranny simulator while his 40 year old discord pedo friends jacked off. I bet that if Focus would tell the truth, there’s a 0% chance he would leave his children alone with Richard or Logan, even if they said they were just going to watch some mainstream anime.

Lol Null and half the site are the exact kind of people who have an autistic meltdown at the mere mention of anime, even though it has become so mainstream. Long gone are the days where being a weeb was social suicide. Hell, I have an anime background on my phone and work in construction, and the only response I get is either apathy or dudes asking me what my favorite shows are.

I don't know why it was the horse racing game. It would have made more sense for him to play other gacha slop that involved guns, like Girls Frontline or Blue Archive. I think the latter even has actual firearm models in the game and not just fantasy guns. Not to mention there's actual gun focused games with anime girls that are actually decent, so I imagine he's just cashing in on the normalfag popularity that Umamusame has gained for some reason. Or he's testing the waters to see if he can be another dime-a-dozen gaming streamers that play whatever is popular and pulls in an easy 80k a year off of it.
