General GunTuber thread

Trench put out some "training" content and it's laughable how bad Trench actually is. Shooting at targets from like 15 yards away and patting himself on the back.
His first little drill, he can't even insert the magazine into the rifle. Blames the sling for being in the way... maybe don't have the sling so choked up against the fucking receiver then? 2 reps later, you can see his sling getting in the way of the mag well again because this retard has it mounted so far back. Then he yaps about how the sling being out in the way is annoying because he doesn't have it over his shoulder. Maybe don't leave your rifle in a state of not being functional if you were to just pick the damned thing up then? His buddy has no problem with this because his sling is secured out of the fucking way.

Pirouette drill. This is the gayest shit, runs out draws pistol and then says "bang bang, bang bang" talking about not waiting to waste HST rounds... then don't fucking use HST rounds for training? This is the same guy who was crying up a storm about the cost of brass cased ammo for his fucking AK last week.

Pirouette headshots. I just think it's funny his buddy is faster.

Then the pirouette reloads... can this guy think of anything besides just standing in one fucking spot and spinning?

Yapping about how they aren't running 20 inch barrels. No shit at 15 yards it's not going to fucking matter. Run 7.5 inch barrels at 15 yards, who cares. "get out and train" when the fuck are you going to do that then? Sure wasn't this video. No movement, static positions, only ever firing while standing, barely having to pivot to transition targets, using huge targets at short range, the most dynamic thing they did was the occasional reload and spin.

Put up a fucking barricade, "run" 5 yards to a kneeling position against it, and fire from that so you aren't just bringing your rifle to your eye and popping off a couple of rounds. Take the same barricade, start kneeling against it engage a target, then go prone and engage the next. Practice reloads from kneeling and prone. Fix your fucking gear issues when they come up like the retarded sling mounting.

So he'll buy cheaper rifle ammo to train for his AR, but not his pistol or AK?

God damn what a faggot.

I think it's weird how Trench and his clique are obsessed with end of the world scenarios and also hating on LPVO's because they aren't the best for building clearing distance CQB.

Bro, if the world has ended me and the boy's aren't gonna go do dynamic entries on shit. That's how you get killed. If somebody I don't like is in a building it's getting burned down/smoke grenaded/shot up with rifles/filled with truck exhaust/IEDed/I will just wait and shoot them when they leave. I'm sure you could come up with some scenario where i'm forced into it - but building your set up around not being 5% worse at the thing you should try and never do anyway is insane to me.

It’s pretty evident why he won’t accept my challenge.

Isn't the recommended minimum for steel with a rifle like 50yds unless you're shooting frangible ammo? There's no way those targets are over 25.

This is correct. He’s shooting this steel way too close.

End of the world and shit hit the fan scenarios is what boomers. all but the very youngest gen-X, far too many millennials, and zoomers fap hard too. While also using those scenarios as a reason they won't buy or use any ammunition other than the absolutely most common calibers that be "looted" from any Walmart and or other big box store in the United States.

CQB is the most likely form of fighting a civilian would engage in. It's just home defense, not dynamic entries.

The guy with the LPVO is more likely to be the mil-larper than the guy with the red dot.

or just someone who hunts in any kind of woods. 10x is the most I ever need and even needing that is rare.

Are red dots most optimal for home defense (I hesitate to call it CQB)? yes
Will a LPVO still work for home defense? yes
are there practical uses for LPVOs? yes
Does every gun you own need to be optimal? no

Trench starts by hating on fat people, fair people who are fat and are doing nothing about it are retards who shouldn't be taken serious. The problem for Trench here is the inverse isn't necessarily true. Being fit doesn't guarantee knowledge. Jokes about some retard getting promoted because of their 2 mile run time have been around for decades in the Army for reason.

He then references professional shooter like Pranka and Stoeger and shows footage of them shooting handguns. Don't really see how handgun optics are relevant to LPVOs. He also claims no elite units like CAG, SF, MARSOC or Rangers use LPVOs as their standard optic, don't know Trench would know that, he's never been in any of those units. He mentions conventional infantry too, and how they all use red dots. I'd say ignore the ACOG but he mentions the ACOG himself. That magnified optic is perfectly fine for some reason. He seethes about the Army adopting an LPVO recently but discounts it because "no one likes it" *citation needed and says the Army also adopted the 320.

He claims Nightforce is an entry level LPVO.

Cheap LPVOs like the StrikeEagle are too big, too heavy and can't hold zero

I shit you not at 11:10 he claims he gave himself a TBI by getting hit with an ACOG during a shooting course.

At the end of the day Trench just has little to no experience with LPVOs and doesn't want to learn.

This faggot legitimately gives me a fucking headache. Magnified optics on service rifles have been a thing for decades and I never met anyone in service who didn't appreciate a little magnification.

We're entering the dangerous "maybe if he doesn't stop being retarded he'll get a thread" stage that we went into with Karl a few years ago. Exciting!
