I don't think that's entirely it. I suspect the majority of Inrage fans could have lived with Karl having an opposing political view to them, it's just the obnoxious way he's behaved when people challenge those views, that's turning people off.

In fact I think content about the current political climate could have been the making of his channel. His video on the 'KKK V The Lumbee Tribe' is one of Inrange's more popular recent videos.


It's got a lot of views because people started tweeting about it (Twitter a platform Karl refuses to use), it was an interesting story, it promoted gun ownership while having a progressive tint, his existing Audience would have appreciated a story about a vulnerable group using guns to defend themselves, and progressive would have enjoyed one about the KKK being humiliated .

However the video itself is poorly produced. The framing is bad, the use of graphics is basic, the setup with Karl sitting at a bench doesn't really work. The story itself is fascinating though, and Karl get's the key points about what happened, where, when and why, across. If he'd put a bit more effort into it, that video could have led to Inrange taking off.

Likewise he did a video on the Danziger bridge shooting, another interesting story that could have gone viral, but his fucking audio was shit.

If he put less time into sperging out on Facebook and YouTube comment sections, and more time into learning how to actually produce YouTube Videos, he'd be better off. I mean YouTube is his full time Job, why the fuck is he so bad at making videos?

Nah, I've always disliked Ian and Karl, tbh. I can appreciate FW for what it is but Ian has one of those faces I just want to smash to pieces with a dumbbell. I liked AKOU before he sold out to PSA, he had a unique sort of humor and that exaggerated accent was funny for a few years. Demo Ranch is fun for a laugh if you don't expect anything serious at all. It's always fun to see what Matt will try to put a .50 BMG through next. Most Guntubers I find are just shit shills like IV8888 and Buck Angel or annoyingly pedantic/retarded like Nutnfancy.

I liked Karl's moderate approach to practical shooting. I was just hoping he wasn't like every other cyberpunk larping firewall jockey I've worked with, espousing centrist nigh anarchist views but really left-authoritarian when you pin them down on real world application of their politics. In the end, he was. Sucks, but hey. The arrogance got to me too, even if he's probably right more oft than wrong. Even today I find the approach a little easier to take than the 'I was a space shuttle delta force door gunner hooah' school of guntuber, but Karl's just gone off the deep end.

A braver man than me would call out Karl for this shit in a more public forum, because of all his idiotic takes from the past 3-4 months, this is likely the one that most people are going to take serious issue with, and rightly so.

Like I’m blown away that anyone who makes their living catering to gun hobbyists could ever say something like this, even in their insulated community of obnoxious elitists.

It’s even worse for Karl who’s other fucking job is literally information security, and has made a habit of LARPing as an anarchist hacker whenever he’s given the chance.

Slight powerleveling, but I suspect he's talking about the dipshits who frequent the Casa Grande Public Shooting Range or go out and shoot in the desert, like at Four Peaks, and leave all their shit behind for someone else to clean up. I will be the first to say that assholes who leave their trash out in the mountains for me to clean up should face summary and immediate execution by the Forest Rangers out there. But they're in the minority and most people I know who shoot in the desert at worst pack their shit out and at best pack out everyone else's shit, too.

But wishing ill on the rest of the Arizona shooting scene is both gay and elitist. For every dumbass I've met at a shooting range, gun store, desert, or competition out there, I've met a hundred totally chill and cool dudes. Arizona has one of the best gun cultures in the entire US.

Karl is the same sort of cunt who works at gun stores and shits all over whatever it is you might like, because they do 'professional two-gun competition shooting' and they're an expert.

I'm only skeptical of it because faked screenshots made out of vitriol often go way out of character, and Karl saying anything relating to shooting someone is entirely unrealistic - he's much less of a man than even Boogie2988 to think of pointing a gun at someone.

I’d be a little more on board if we had something a little more substantial than a Gmail account anybody can fucking make with the name “Ian M”.

I honestly don’t doubt Ian and Karl are still friends, but I get the sneaking suspicion we’re looking at a gay op wrapped within a gay op, so I’m leery.

But also happy, because this is the farms after all, and this has the potential for some juicy content.

I think wanting this to be a gayop is wishful thinking, considering. Ian is at the very least a closet leftist no matter what his simps say, and Karl is a faggot cuck socialist showing his true colors because people won't go goo goo eyes over a youtube "star".
 
The 'dissident group' is discussing these. Many appear to be 'shops. The first one referenced ('current events') he did say - and this was passed around before - but he stopped at 'in general.' There's truth in here, but someone's ginning it up to look like more than it is, when if they'd just post what he's actually said, that'd be enough.

I wouldn’t say I want it to be a gay op, just that there’s always reason to doubt. This thread started because people thought Ian was closet Antifa running security for CHAZ, which was stupid as shit.

There are clearly people who want to lie about them.

So what I want, true or not, is for it to get out of control to the point where one or both has to address it directly. That would be the most entertaining outcome by far.

I’ll admit I fell for it, but Karl hasn’t done himself any favors by acting like a prick these past couple months. I was ready to believe it, and dude’s gotta ask himself why, at the very least.

Even still, there’s no guarantee this isn’t damage control. I did think it was interesting that he’s bitching about context and says that the “vast majority” are faked, meaning that there’s likely a few asshole takes in there that are genuine, and this way he never has to admit to them.

Maybe a little more drama incoming, I guess we’ll find out

I'll admit to being a little too credulous with some of the posts there. The petty drama with other guntubers and handwringing over Kenosha Kyle is probably real though. I also think the resentment towards Ian and the gun community at large is real but he's evidently not dumb enough to post it or at least own up to it being posted in a semi public forum.
