General GunTuber thread

That perfectly describes those awful riced out pistols you see these days, it's exactly like horrible Gamer™ mice and peripherals, where there's sharp angles, lights, and 'speedholes' inexplicably placed all over them, because a 13 year old will think that it's really cool.
I mean, i get the idea behind going the hardcore weight reduction route for a race gun, because reciprocating weight and all, or deeper serrations than what you get stock because you live in a cold area and have to wear thick gloves when shooting, but these esoteric little holes are only going to make the internals dirtier than they have to be without adding anything of value.
Indeed quite Gamer-y. At this point, i would not be surprised if we eventually see some RGB-LED frame kits to light up the speed holes from inside the gun. But i guess this is the flip-side of the "everyone and their granny is getting a firearm these days" coin. Brings in the kind of people that want their guns to look like their gaming rigs. (or handbags i guess lol)

I've read some horror stories about Chinese steel, I read a post on /pol/ years ago from a guy who worked with companies that bought steel in bulk and his one piece of advice was to never ever buy from China.

TFW your little pimped-out accessories cost more than the gun.

Homie could have just spent the money on ammo to make sure he doesn't shoot himself in the dick in a self-defense situation.

This is honestly nothing new since the gen 3 Glock aftermarket blew up. Still cringe as hell, but nothing new at all except that gamer cut slides have come down a lot in price in recent years, hence why everyone and their mother has one now on their "EDC" gun.

Wait until you tell some retard that Olights are bad, they shit themselves in rage. People who have an emotional investment in their guns and dont recognize that they're just tools are the worst.

Who the fuck takes anything that old faggot Clint says seriously after he put his name on a CAI AK?
When I first saw that clip I almost thought Clint would say that ar pistols are stupid because you should just tell the government to fuck themselves and not comply with retarded ATF designations. But saying something like that would interfere with making the almighty dollar.

Clint's "Thunder Ranch" lower is so dumb.

100% aero did it so it would differentiate itself from their standard M4E1 and marketing came up with the finger banging reasoning later. Clint can keep his crust old fudd fingers away from my magwell.

So, what kind of guntubers do you guys actually enjoy?

I love Carnik Con when it was still a thing. This video instilled a powerful lust for bullpups in me.

I've already mentioned Larry Potterfield but he is honest to God like ASMR to me. Personally, I find gunsmithing and cleaning in general to be ear and eye candy, and Larry is a great gunsmith.
School of the American Rifle is excellent if you want to get an in-depth understanding of how AR-15s tick.

I legitimately don't understand gunbroker prices. You can walk into any gun store and they're almost 100% guaranteed to beat the average gunbroker auction price even if they price gouge. Granted I haven't seen one of these psaks at my LGS recently but they aren't exactly discontinued collectors items and if you're dead set on buying PSA it makes sense to wait a few generations for some of the kinks to get partially ironed out.
