Thread to discuss pepper growing and everything pepper related.

I'm currently growing 22 different varieties of pepper this season. And they are :
Annuum- Purple UFO, Thunder mountain longhorn, Big Jim, black pearl, Chinese 5 color, Numex lotalutein.

Chinense - Primotalii, White Hab, Chocolate Hab, 7 pot Bubblegum, Js peach Ghost scorpion, peach fister, Js atomic tiger chocolate, Yellow Biquinho.

Baccatum - Sugar Rush Stripe (3 different vendors), Sugar rush red, Bishop's crown, Brazilian starfish, Aji Fantasy Orange.

Frutescens - Kona

I'm really excited about the Primotaliis, sugar rush, Brazilian starfish and aji fantasy varieties. I plan to make a basic hot sauce out of the primotaliis and a "fruit punch" hot sauce out of the other three.

The thunder mountain longhorns are also really cool looking.

The Fatalli's my all-time favorite pepper for sauces...I bet the Primotalli packs a serious punch with those 7-pot genes. Excited to hear how it turns out.

Normally I grow serranos as my mainstay for fresh salsa/pico de gallo but I had a really nice crop of Carolina Reapers and habaneros the year before last. Making fermented pepper mash is a great use of these.

I think i will try and make a basic vinegar and salt sauce with the primotaliis. Like a Tabasco sauce but with primotaliis instead of of Tabasco. Speaking of Tabasco, im also excited go grow these Hawaiian kona peppers. They're a frutescens variety. I got the seeds for free with a order for other seeds. Can't find hardly and info on them.

Great idea, with these peppers the flavor of the fruit needs to be front and center. Just some salt and vinegar is all you need.

I don't know anything about this particular variety myself but they look similar to tabascos vs. malaguetas/piri piri.
