It was recommended to me a video from MrBeast (video) in which he goes to several places and pays for the surgery needed to treat partial blindness, along with some extras like a gift car, college tuition, etc.
Now I know this is highly speculative, but for the hypothetical in which your average person would have access to large amounts of money (let's say to the level of one of these top streamers, VTubers, etc), do you think they'd do charitable works like these? Regularly.
More often than not, I see people with what they call "fuck you money" buying their new extra mansion and sports car that's not even going to be put to proper use, instead of stuff like this. So I was wondering if (financially) normal people would lean towards this behaviour or not, in your opinion.
[Also, I know there's a ton of variables/factors to take into consideration, and that things like these can be used to raise PR/image/good publicity in order to gain profit afterwards; the philosophical notion of pure altruism, like if ultimately they're doing this for their own pleasure or not, etc, but let's keep it simple.]
