I remember when one of the leakers predicted, that this new island region is gonna exist only 40 days and then fucking sink into the ocean, meaning the whole new zone is a temporary thing. People called him mothafucka or something on twitter so much that he decided to take a break. Funny thing is that\s exactly what ended up happening. Said islands gonna be gone after the new update goes live. But damn how many more stuff there is.

The fandom at large has a giant boner for cancelling anyone at the drop of a hat, for example someone named VentiPosting (20k followers) said something along the lines of questioning neopronouns and the fandom doxed her and she deactivated.

Hopefully that's confined to the Western fandom.

It's not good if the cancer of "cancel culture" becomes mainstream in the rest of the world.

Her subreddit is here:

She's pretty crazy, she even used a family heirloom ring for her "wedding" and now her father is pissed. Her entire "vacation" with Chongyun actually meant staying in her room for two days straight playing Genshin.

Either this chick is trolling or she's really that brazen about sharing her weeb delusions with the world. Holy shit.

The modern world can be an isolating and dehumanizing place, so it's no surprise some get delusions about having relationships with fictional characters.
True, but this sort of thing has been happening for a lot longer than people think. People have been having crushes on fictional characters since the beginning of time, really. The only difference is that people nowadays have a place to broadcast it to the entire world.

Cool to see a thread for GI. I played a little of it when it came out, got Venti then stopped playing, but recently got back into it. As another user said it's a great game for zoning out and just relaxing, I usually listen to a podcast or watch videos/shows on my second monitor when I grind stuff in the game, it's pretty comfy.

The Inazuma update is here by the way, maintenance just started and will last awhile. I'm curious as to what the spergs in the community will bitch about in the new area.

Out of all flavors of bizarre I read about here, waifuism schizos seem the most likely to kidnap and kill someone.
Probably the English VA
It's interesting to me how people will convince themselves that they are in a romantic relationship with a fictional character.
But what I find funny is that people don't realize that they themselves are undesirable by anyone let alone anime characters no one wants to marry a Wendy's Wagie© who has reached a dead end in life..
On the opposite end of the spectrum would be like /fit weebs who idolize anime characters as a reason to improve their lives ie: I lift for my wife Ninguang so that she may never bear a physical burden in this world and I am advancing my business degree so that our lives may always be prosperous. I find them funny and oddly endearing.

The amount of rage from these people no longer having exclusive knowledge of which waifus were coming out in the future was phenomenal. I'll try and unearth some of it later.
Leakers are such useless twats, even when it concerns something people actually should care about. That faggot Glenn Greenwald could have blown the lid off the biggest clandestine widespread surveillance programs targeting American citizens in history with the classified information Edward Snowden gave him, but because he decided to "drip feed" it to the world, everybody got bored with it quickly and stopped giving a shit. Like so many others, he just did it for clout, not for any notion of "for the greater good" (which would have involved releasing it all at once, or at least in rapid succession over the span of a few days).

I'm here from the Waifu Culture thread, where we have someone who considers themselves spiritually married to Chongyun and has an entire subreddit full of their "adventures" together.

I used to think that stupid slag over in the UK who fell in love with and (legally) married a fucking bridge -- going so far as to allow a documentary crew to record her sliding her skanky crotch up and down one of the handrails to "make love to it" -- was the epitome of legitimate batshit insanity when it came to delusional completely made-up bullshit (trannies are in the running for this "honor" too). But I think I'm going to hand that crown over to this dumb bitch. Shitting on your dying cancer patient mother's heirloom by involving it in an "engagement" to a fictional character you'll soon be marrying in cardboard cutout form is insanity driven to new heights.

I played Genshin for the first few months, it was pretty solid. Then it became very tedious and boring after I reached lategame. I was always f2p, though I did have 5 5 star characters. 2 from rerolling when the game still had lots of free pulls for new accounts, and 3 over time. Plus some repeats. Anyway, I had no fucking idea the community had become so autistic. I guess it makes sense, anything designed to attract weebs is going to bring pedos and trannies by the truckload.

I rate 4/10 pretty decent game but you'll spend a lot of time wanting things you can't get unless you feel like dropping potentially thousands on some pixels.

Can you play it without paying for anything?

Yeah, I managed to do all content totally f2p. Again though, I probably had higher than average number of 5 star units. Basically if you want to do the hardest content(the challenge tower thingy) you will need 2 teams. What that amounts to essentially is needing 2 kitted out damage dealers and 2 viable healers, which isn't all that hard(but it is time consuming)

Yeah you really don’t have to pay for anything in this game, they give you fairly good characters for free (Barbara, Kaeya, Lisa, Xiangling, Amber, geo/anemo traveler) and you get 4 star characters pretty regularly from the rolls you can do with the primos you earn being f2p. The only thing you have to theoretically pay for is if you’re wanting multiples of a 5 star, or if you just have shit luck rolling for the 5 star waifu you want. It’s completely possible to enjoy the game and have a cracked team completely free to play. What people pay for is 90% guaranteeing they get their waifu/husbando and 10% people paying for a cracked weapon.

It's less a mobile game and more a multiplatform game with a mobile version. Having a mobile version at all definitely adds to the retardation for sure, but I'm unsure if it'd be completely gone without a mobile version existing.
Playing a gacha game on PC / console has got to be a whole nother level of retardation.

Waifuism gets pretty interesting the longer you stare at it, sometimes even into "Worst person you know made a great point." territory.
