I’ve been around from 1.9 to about a month into 2.2. how much it changed from the start of the pandemic to now is crazy. Unrestricted Internet access does wonders for the autistic.

Practically every community that is 99.9% male, 13-17, is a ticking time bomb for this stuff now. One MtF walks in, gets social status for being a girly pop gamer, and they all want to jump on that train. I’ve had 8 online friends “crack their egg” in a single week at its peak.

Soon you don’t even recognise them anymore, as half their presence turns to being anime avatar “boymode” demons, spamming out about estrogen for the 14 hours a day they’re online. Even actual trannies have better things to do with their life than play geometry dash, lol.

Having personal interactions with those people is always an interesting perspective too. One of these “friends” told me, “I don’t even have dysphoria, but you can be a girl just because you feel like it”. 3 months later they’re spamming out hit tweets about pressing matters people are just too hecking ignorant to accept yet, like that they’re all actually biological women.

It's funny, because from what little I can remember for community drama back then, a lot of it was simple and stupid, but not terrible thinking back on it. I think I recall most drama amounted to "This guy hacked to publish/beat a level" or "This guy stole from another level" or just stupid shit like that.
Now I look at this thread and most of the drama in this community involves something along the lines of "This tranny groomed this minor".

Once again, TTD cannot come sooner enough.

Since a lot of you are reminiscencing of a Geometry Dash before troons, in which autists ran supreme, could someone explain what leveloution is? From what I can tell, it just looks like an autist taking his vidya a little too seriously by making some lame artistic movement. Why did it cause so much drama?

Levelution was this trend that Optical (an old pioneering modern style creator) who got sick of taking so much time to make levels, so he wanted to encourage making levels with less objects that focused more on creativity from limitation. IIRC people didn't like it because a lot of people just used the excuse of low object counts to make a bunch of gay generic levels nobody cared about. The only level that came out of that entire "movement" that anyone really remembers was The Lost Existence by JonathanGD:

The #1 person on that list is a furry who was throwing fits about harassment over random children in the comments not liking the gameplay of a single level they made.

Before that, it was BraedenTheCroc, which was a whole rabbit hole of its own. Can't find if anyone archived it though.

The entire system is being ruined by Viprin and his janny cabal as they choose which levels to rate based on who they like and who they don’t. Take Abyss of Darkness for example, it took forever for it to be rated and Viprin and his retarded Elder Mod friends claimed that the level wasn’t rate-worthy, and while neither the gameplay nor decoration are anything to write home about it’s pretty clear they only did it because they didn’t like Neiro/the Russian GD community. I believe the same thing is happening to anything Zoink verifies, from what I’ve heard Zoink doesn’t like Viprin very much and because of this anything Zoink touches takes months to get rated (Tidal Wave), or is never rated at all (Defeated Circles and Thinking Space 2, which was verified on the same day as Amethyst mind you).

In a way the GD is ran is kind of analogous to how 4chan is ran, where you have the incompetent absentee leader who does next to nothing (RobTop is to Hiro/Gookmoot) while an annoying leech runs everything with his tranny friends (Viprin is to RapeApe).

Kind of a shame, since I feel like most casual people only know popular names when thinking about "pro female players", but it wouldn't fare well, since the usual suspects would eat you alive just by the fact of not putting them right on the tippy top, with a little ribbon bow to show for it.

At some point the majority of these people aren’t mentally regressed 23 year olds calling themselves puppies, but almost exclusively actual minors.

I think we’ve all done some stupid anti social things at that age, you think you know it all and seclude away. Luckily those don’t usually end up leaving you with long lasting medical decisions.
