As some of you may be aware, the ghostbusters reboot is coming out tomorrow. The levels of salt will be off the charts regardless of how the film fares critically and commercially.

• If the film is a bomb then the fans will lament the passing of their childhoods and then enjoy some autistic schadenfreude. Defenders of the film will get incredibly salty at the sight of their progressive albatross failing.

• If the film somehow gets decent reviews then its defenders will enjoy some autistic schadenfreude. fanboys of the film will be guarantied to spaz out spectacularly.

I think the movie will be so painfully average that both it's dangerhair supporters and neckbeard opponents will both kind of just stare at the floor and quietly shuffle away and not really say anything embarrassing and the only people to chimp out all salty of it will be the kiwis denied the entertainment they were expecting.

No, she is not replacing the original man Slimer (is Slimer a man?), but will instead appear alongside him — possibly as a love interest? Is it a ploy to further troll everyone lamenting that a “Ghostbusters” helmed by a female cast has “destroyed their childhoods”? God, I hope so.

Lady Slimer looks to be basically identical to Sir Slimer, but for some bangs and lipstick (love that shade, girl). Just as a thought exercise (and to throw a couple scorpions into the starched pants of the Whining Class): What if Lady Slimer is transgender, and the new “Ghostbusters” as a whole will be a conduit for normalizing non-binary relationships? What if the evil “ghosts” are the conservative patriarchy still reaching desperately for a mercifully bygone era? What if the new “Ghostbusters” is a deftly packaged allegory designed to inspire productive conversations on gender at family dinner tables across America?
