A bit powerlevel-y, but I've lost like four friends from three different circles over this stupid movie just because I voiced an opinion and said I didn't want to see it because I thought it was pandering, mediocre and that I was sick of remakes.

Two of them are lapping up the "male tears", one is basically in love with the 'crazy' Ghostbuster (that blonde one who does all the lolsoquirky shit), one said I needed to stop "shitting on everything and ruining her good time" while another claimed "how do you know it's mediocre if you haven't seen it?" (I can watch the damn previews and know it's shit; it's not goddamn funny in them and if that's their 'a-list' jokes Sony's selling the movie with; then the rest are clearly even worse it doesn't take a damn rocket scientist to figure this out).

God I hope this movie swan-dives into the obscurity it deserves.
 
People got attacked by dogs and sprayed by water cannons for equal rights. Now the new self proclaimed front in civil rights is this shitty movie. Fuck everything.

And by blowing up over the most inane of comments, the most subtle of details, the most polite disagreements, they just help further disenfranchise and estrange themselves from the mainstream society. Seriously, blowing fuses over a role someone played in a sketch? Really? It's by no means surprising, it's just really, really stupid.

The funny thing is how this trend is so self-amplifying. The more estranged these morons get from the mainstream, the more angry they get. The more angry they get, the more estranged they become and the less the mainstream is inclined to listen to these assholes...

Funnily enough, Judd Apatow used the "Trump Supporter" insult a month ago. Sony's marketing team must be running out of good shit talking material to re-use that one so soon.
