In all seriousness, yes. I go to the gym close to midnight for my weightlifting because the place is otherwise crowded with bulky guys. I have yet to find any exclusively female weightlifting groups.

Amateur female boxing interests me more, actually. But no groups/classes seem to exist for that either.

So how do you tell whos roiding and whos not though? How big realistically can girls get without drugs? Like if I saw this I'd be, like yeah looks drugged.

I'd imagine a girl would be less eager to shoot up male hormones than your average bodybuilder, I guess I was wrong. Wow.

You can assume that any competitive strength athlete or anyone who makes money off of their physique (i.e. Youtube or Instagram people) is on gear. Even if they are drug-tested, that doesn't mean they are drug-free.

But the normal signs are: Leanness + full muscles, bacne, chest acne, capped deltoids, overly large traps or shoulders, a "photoshop" look, or just gaining muscle very fast (more than 5-10 lb a year after the noob gains)

With women, if they look like their body could be a dude's, they're on steroids. Women have 5% of the testosterone of men
 
I need to get my ass back into lifting! Even just doing some curls now and again is better than nothing, ha ha. Part of my problem is that I was trying to do too hard of a routine, I found this Joe Weider bodybuilding manual from back in the 70's and thought it was cool. Being a lady, and not a very beefy one, I modified the training to be more applicable to me as opposed to a dude wanting to look like AHNULD.

The way I've had it explained to me is that :
heavy weights+low number of reps=larger muscles

lighter weights+more reps= more toned muscles.
Could be wrong on that though. Anyway, the Weider course is a high weight/low rep system so I switched to lighter weights and more reps. And was still wiped out. 'Course I also do cardio and weights on the same day which you're not really supposed to do, so I was lifting after a 6+ mile run.

Actually, would any Kiwis be interested in seeing the guide? There's some really helpful muscle charts among other things as well as being a relevant to bodybuilding history. I'll ask in the other lifting thread and maybe post the scans in their own thread.
