Girl's Frontline - A gacha game for those who like girls, guns, and sci fi political thrillers

Gave the game another chance and ragequitted and deleted it. Holy shit it's like it tries to grief the player on purpose. I got to a mission where you have to lead an army of mutants against the enemy. The mutants are aggressive to you, so need to be lead them by all kinds of interactions. Got to a point where a mutant literally disengaged from an enemy to kill my character despite it not being able to see her (my only guess is that the enemy finding her automatically makes the mutants see her because fuck programming different states). The mission itself lasted more than a fucking hour, and while I could just load to the turn previous and try to divine what the fuck the game wants from me it's getting to an entire evening on a glorified escort mission where I am fucked by both the devs being anal on what I should do and RNG potentially fucking me over even if I do the right thing.

I'm enjoying Girl's Frontline Line 2 well enough. If the game has one critical flaw, it's that the "main" story content is generally the easiest and least interesting. Even when not overleveled, it's not hard to curb stomp everything with the freebie units unless you're a DSP-tier retard or something. The side stuff is where all of the fun challenges are. On one hand, this means everyone can experience the plot without running into any roadblocks, but it also means the game is putting its worst foot forward.

Also using auto battle is gay and if you do it, you deserved to have your waifu stolen by a nobody background character. Gib more cores King Chong.

I haven't logged in for a while so maybe I'm a bit late, but the TL;DR is that the game has zero challenge even after quite a few hours. My experience was playing the first 5-6 hours of the campaign while purposely staying at the same level as the enemies. In that entire time not a single one of my units died even when I tried to play incorrectly by not using cover at all. I played all of the optional levels too btw.

Even auto-battlers like Blue Archive seem more appealing to me because at least they don't pretend to be more than a glorified VN.

I heard it was very basic, had feet fetish and the NTR story.

Now, I'm not some sort of a foot connoissuer but I guess the tights are rendered pretty well.

Been around longer than most gacha games, but for those who don't know...

Klukai was a mistake. As dedicated as I am to raising my catwife Peritya to maximum power, I regret the fact that I haven't faced any kind of challenge since her banner. Even the last event boss which was tailor made to fuck the Klan over isn't fully immune to the power of one gorillion nukes per turn. And because it's a gacha game, she can't be nerfed into something not completely insane.

Oh well, I guess I should be grateful that one of my favorites is meta.

Time to necro the thread. Just started Frontline 2 since crunchy xcom type games are my jam. All the free pulls has gotten me Tololo and Springfield with weapon from the main banner. Beginner banner got me Faye and the 5* handgun.

Currently working through chapter 3 and got my commander to lvl 20.

try for a springfield dupe and set tololo as your standard banner selector. v1 springfield + v2 tololo lets tololo get 3 actions every turn and it's insanely strong. it's still a top meta dps pairing in the cn server that's 6+ months ahead of us
