Glinner is tragic in his lack of aesthetic sense. Goddamn.
I don’t know the exact law in the UK, what he said would probably be ok in the US but also he was describing violent acts, and he had a trial coming up already. So I can see how it would be interpreted as dangerous, especially given that he supposedly took a phone off a teenager in an earlier altercation. This is a grown ass man why was he scuffling with a teen tranny in the first place?
One thing I keep coming back to with Glinner is that he doesn’t seem to have any friends. He recently was on Stella O’Malley’s podcast and the whole time he basically insulted people.
The guy who tried to buy him out for the Father Ted musical = a scammer, even though that deal he was offered sounds pretty normal. They offered him an advance on his cut of the profits if he’d let them make the musical. This sounds totally normal, what did he expect, that the producer was gifting him £250k of his personal funds? Advances are how book publishing and music work why not this stupid musical too?
Later he talks about needing money and asking for money due to all his lawsuits. So we’re supposed to empathize with him for turning down 6 figures, but also give him our money? Huh?
Glinner blames SSRIs and cancer not choices he made at the beginning of his activism. I feel bad that he had cancer but also, be accountable for your choices.
He insults people who read Harry Potter saying they read JK Rowling but no one else & basically calling them slow. This seems almost like jealousy over her popularity & that she didn’t make a statement of support for him up to that point. Geeks of Glinner’s age had Star Trek books & LoTR. Young dorks have the Potter books.
He says he’s working “in Hollywood” but was working in Arizona with Rob Schneider I think when this was made. He’s trying to sound insider-y but I don’t think he actually is, I think he’s on the fringes.
Again why does he need money if his working life in “Hollywood” is booming?
He says during Trump I he had TDS. Trumps first term was full of lying (has Mexico paid for a wall?) and Trump fumbled the response to COVID and George Floyd. Even Ann Coulter had turned on Trump by the end of his first term. Glinner seems like after being rejected by extreme libs he went extremely right. He just seems unstable.
He takes a jab at Marc Maron who, whether you like him or not, has built a TV/film career and had a podcast so big a sitting president (Obama) was a guest. It seems like more sour grapes.
Glinner was ranting that ‘no one knows what trans means! Maron says let them get healthcare! What does that mean?’ This sounds completely insane to anyone not neck deep in TERF lore. If you heard this guy got arrested and listened to this interview, you would just think he was crazy.
Most people are like Maron they have a life and are busy. They just think, yeah let these people get healthcare if they need it. Glinner never explains what he means, he’s just ranting that more successful people are stupid, basically. He’s not making it easy for people to pick up what he’s putting down.
At one point he says something like ‘they treat the child like a sacred class, like the parents do. One boy wearing black nail polish.’ He sounds mental and FWIW, straight goth guys have been doing black nail polish since like the 80s or 90s. That’s how they meet girls.
He’s not coming across as coherent at all in the interview. It’s really strange. Maybe he did have a stroke, he said his BP was effed up when he was arrested. He just did not sound very coherent and there’s no entry point for normal people. He’s using a lot of TERF jargon and not being clear.
Weird moment where he kept saying “they’re cutting kids’ dicks off” over and over. If this was your intro to gender critical ideology, if this was the first you’d heard of it, you would think Glinner belonged in a padded room. He doesn’t give any context, he’s just ranting.
My favorite part is where he says his ex-wife left him because she needed her ‘social circles’ more than men do. He talks about being bullied as a kid and not having friends as if that’s normal for men.
Men in entertainment often take lunch meetings to do deals. They go to catered charity parties, even much bigger people than Glinner. They all have friends and do social stuff. Same with successful deal makers in real estate and other industries. Glinner has no self awareness that he’s really unusual in becoming successful while still having no friends.
He can’t face that his wife was just done with him. In his mind, it’s not HIM being a weird, unemployed, friendless guy who can’t stay off Twitter for 5 minutes: it’s silly women with their silly need for friends. So while he’s claiming to defend all women he’s also insulting the woman who was closest to him in his life.
This is why Glinner never really gets any traction for his ‘activism,’ because he’s so autistic he’s constantly insulting people who tried to like him once.
And finally he insults ‘geeks’ like him in his ‘board game’ community. I think he actually means something more like DnD, but okay. He says the geeks were unusually susceptible to social contagion and easily talked into massive life changing surgeries. And he was surprised because he and his geek friends are so smart.
This makes no sense to me. The geeks are susceptible to trans ideology but not to much less intense trend? They had social contagion to lop body parts off but not to say, lift weights or get a decent haircut to try and meet girls?
I think they’d have to be closet pervs to begin with, don’t you? The one trend they were willing to follow was self mutilation, not getting on TikTok or learning to cook or taking a yoga class?
At some point isn’t it on the geeks to not be fucking stupid? Which is it, are they too smart for society or too stupid for it? That’s the Glinner bind: are you too smart for the room or too retarded for it? Can you be both at the same time?
He’s basically tragic to me, because he’s still lying to himself & has no self awareness. He makes good points sometimes but he does use language calling on people to do things like punch others which isn’t smart. He already had a trial coming up.
He keeps trying to demand that other more famous people “support” him and that’s not how friendships work. He’s acting crazy. He’s not reasoning things out or expressing them in a way where sane people want to be around him.
It’s REALLY strange and look at his sad ugly sandwich board. This is the lumpy, friendless spaz normies are supposed to rally around? It’ll never happen. You look at that and like, he looks like he takes the short bus. They need a normal human being people can rally around to be the face of this. JKR could work, but Glinner never will.
A lot of this is flat out mental illness from him at this point. Coupled with the ‘nothing is my fault’ typical of entertainment industry wankstains. He is the worst of all worlds.
I want this guy to get out of the way and let someone coherent get involved in this. If he’s the face of this there won’t be change because he’s such a goddamned spastic.
