Honestly I am surprised how well the Amazing Digital Circus is being made. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying it’s the best thing ever. It’s ok.

But let’s just say that after I learned who made this, I am surprised it has delivered on being a pastel colored horror show , and I am not being lectured on pronouns or “the messsge”.

It goes to show you that men really are better showrunners than women. Even for internet meme cartoons.

They spent six months drawing fan art and shipping him to the point where their headcanon of Jax is basically a different character. I think they literally forgot he's supposed to be an asshole. Need proof? This is Twitter's interpretation of Jax and Gangle's relationship:

Trannyworx said on Tumblr that he isn't going to be some "Jerk with a heart of gold" and will be completely unredeemable and that we'll see why he's, and I quote "the one who deserves to be stuck in the Digital Circus the most" in the next few episodes.

Apparently """she""" has also specified that Jax is going to do something "Unforgivable" in the later episodes as well.
My guess is he's going to actively cause someone to abstract on purpose or something. About the only thing I can think of that would be "Unforgivable" in a world where you presumably can't die.

Modern internet has way looser standards for what they consider a moral event horizon for their waifus/husbandos, whether they're channers or Tumblrites. We've just seen the whole fanbase flip out over Jax being a straightforward jerk, so presumably his moral event horizon would be refusing to say "please" when asked, or being responsible for someone else's VR entrapment.

Personally though my theory is TrannyWorx is going to ruin the character somehow. My guess is it's going to be revealed he just acts the way he does as a coping mechanism. Push everyone else away so it hurts less when someone goes away. Honestly it'd be less predictable if it turned out he really was just an asshole. So I hope that's the truth.

I have a horrible feeling they're going to have him troon out, and explain the reason he acts like a jerk is because he's "repressing her true self". I really hope that's not the course the show takes but I can see it happening. There's already a non-binary character so it's not like they're averse to including those elements in the show.

I've suspected this ever since Gooseworx responded to a question about why Jax bullies the girl characters with "He has issues he hasn't worked out with himself yet". That could mean a number of things but ever since I saw that I've been weary.

I also think it would backfire massively because Jax's appeal comes from him being male. It would fundamentally change the character and how the audience is supposed to perceive them.

This reminds me that Lackadaisy has a discord server. I admit I peeked once just out of curiosity and they ran that shit like North Korea. Maybe I just joined at a bad time but tbf that's the only way you CAN run a discord server without it falling to degeneracy. Or at least a public one.

But the problem with that is if the server is super strict, sure you stamp out potential bullshit but also essentially choke any desire for people to want to interact in the first place.
But then if you don't and things do go wrong obviously because it's your server you're going to be held accountable for anything that goes down there.

Tl;dr: The only winning move is to not have a discord server in the first place.

EDIT: Rather than making a second post I'll add it onto this one since it just struck me. If they're going to be showing off behind the scenes information and talking about how the show was made on there then I wonder if this means we're actually going to find out what the fuck went wrong with Murder Drones for instance? I doubt they'd admit it directly of course but I'm sure we might get some more vital pieces to the autism puzzle from this.

also i'm sure everyone else knew this but it's $10 a month and is basically just a glorified patreon, all these features i'm pretty sure other indie companies do for free and not just that but most creators on patreon have lower tiers for certain features like $3 to access discord, this is basically the highest tier you can subscribe to with most creators
the real funny is the discord though, very curious how their going to handle inevitable leaks since this is the internet, a fanbase of mostly minors and 800+ members already, I do not see this going well and if one special kiwi with time and money on their hand could enter I think there's potential to see some lulz and insight

I've been very put off by GLITCH recently and I have to say I've lost a lot of interest in TADC and Murder Drones. They've started to come across as very money-grubbing to me. The sheer amount of merchandise they've already put out for TADC - a show that, let's not forget, currently only has two episodes out. They immediately brought out a plushie and stickers for Gummigoo, who isn't even a main character and (probably) will only appear in one episode.

I mean, I get there's a big market for it (I even own a Jax plushie myself lol), but it's the way they've been so overt about it that's left a sour taste in my mouth.
