I found it incredibly mediocre, there's nothing really intriguing about it and after the glazing its been getting from its rabid fanbase it's looking to be the next autism clusterfuck.

found out from Dana herself that Frankie and Andi AREN'T actually in lesbians with each other and are planned to keep being platonic friends, which is honestly shocking to hear, the only thing I ever heard from owl house despite never watching a second of it is that the the female main leads were paired to be queer as fuck and that was cause for celebration from the wider cartoon tumblr people, it created plenty of buzz for her show, but I guess she isn't doing it this time

Maybe Frankie will hook up with Gwen?

I occasionally type random things I've heard of into Reddit (Specifically Redlib), usually things autistic niche things, to gawk at the people who enjoy it. One of these things today happened to be murder drones, one of the posts on the Murder Drones Reddit contained a link to a sub called "The_Cult_of_N", the only thing I knew was that N was a character in the show. Needless to say, the autism that I witnessed has been very entertaining. No archives since this isn't exactly something of high importance and I don't imagine this sub will get shoah'd anytime soon.

there's also subs like that for the other MD characters btw.

Imagine simping over arguably the most boring character in the show who has no character arc and his entire personality is wanting to bang the likely school shooter goth loser and not much else.
Abysmally dogshit taste.
I mean, who else would I simp for? We have:
-An arrogant prick
-A... sociopath? (I can't tell what V's character supposed to be)
-A 14 year old goth school shooter
-A 14 year old russian school shooter
-A GLaDOS bootleg wearing the rotten corpse of a 14 year old girl
-uhhhh

And no, I can't just "watch a better show", that would be asking too much, smh (sneed my head).

The only real option is probably Thad because everyone else will probably either kill you or divorce you the second they find someone better.
And N wants the school shooter and sociopath pussy too bad. So unless you're a school shooter or a murderous sociopath he ain't interested. :story:

I genuinely didn't expect her to NOT make the two main female protagonists a lesbian couple. There is now a non-zero percent chance for Dana redeeming herself. The chances are still abysmally low, but no longer zero.

Aren't they like 17-18 years old since they had a prom, a thing organized especially for 12th graders?

For the slutty one.

N fans are probably the most mentally ill people in the fandom. I even remember seeing a greentext where the poster self-inserted as a drone (Nori, I believe), and she was being raped and killed by N.

While Liam himself has not said anything since he seems to take the Toby Fox approach of keeping his mouth shut most of the time most of the cast have said all of the characters are 18 at the minimum when asked.
Apparently from what little I've gleamed there was a lot of infighting in the fandom about people sexualizing the drones because they were in school to the point people more or less harassed Liam trying to get him to give an answer and I guess at some point it even reached the voice actors so they just started saying all of the characters are 18 to shut them up.
At least that's what I understand.

Apparently this is what made Trannyworx confirm all of TADC characters ages early on specifically to prevent the same slap fighting that happened in the MD fandom.

(Nori, I believe), and she was being raped and killed by N.
This admittedly cursed statement made me remember back when everyone was speculating who killed Nori (Or I guess destroyed her body considering she somehow survived.) many people suspected it had to be N because J was too unimportant to the plot and V killed Doll's mom(Yeva) so they figured it wouldn't have been her twice. N seemed like the most dramatic choice in their minds. Then the show literally never ever brings it up or addresses it ever. At most we got Nori remarking that N seemed familiar and then it's never brought up again. :story:
They also never explained how the fuck she survived either but I guess that's just not important to the plot or something.

The Owl House lesbian pairing was, and I regret doing this but I fear Harry Potter is the equivalent, Harry and Draco getting together rather than Harry and Ron.

Given the use of the name Guinevere I have a suspicion that one of the two leads will be her Lancelot. There'll be some plot about how Guinevere is designed to be with someone, random babble about choosing her own destiny, Utena references and overly dramatic true wuv nonsense made creepy with a second or two of thought.

Dana also said that Frankie isn't a trans woman, which made many people upset. Because apparently muscular masculine women automatically means trans to these sorts of people...

You figure the offensiveness of that.

(Sorry for long post)

I was about to make a reply about a very specific scene in MD, but I decided to rewatch the whole series instead... and man, I'm starting to enjoy it... genuinely.

Yes yes, the story sucks, it has pacing issues up the wazoo, dialogue is REALLY awkward sometimes... but in the "animation" aspect, it's absolutely fantastic: The fight scenes are tense and very well choreographed, the setpieces are great, the music is wonderful, the humor is good... sometimes... and I mean like... REALLY, sometimes.

I even forgot how dark some of these episodes can be, it's funny how most of the deaths are seen as silly skits you'd seen in a YouTube Poop, but then you have scenes like Uzi cannabilazing the other students and proceeding to puke oil (blood) with 0 jokes, Or even that one scene where J's tapeworm shows a hologram of Uzi's mom, and then it decides to show her father('s hologram) being torn in half... just to mess up with her!

I also got reminded how cool the pilot's premise was before I realized we were gonna face some robot-made horrors beyond the writers' compreenhesion. Like come on now, the whole thing about Uzi wanting for the worker and dissasembly drones teaming up for a common foe and Khan's "we will build a door, and make those oil-sucking monsters pay for it!" is a neat idea, like, what would it take to make the workers bunker change their mind about the "vampires"? Will they team up with them or still cower in fear? How about the other dissasembly drone squads? There's gotta be more than just one right? Is there other bunkers around the world too? You can even shove the "eldritch horror" aspect into this easily: maybe they finally manage to repair the ship and return to Earth, and then "wait, why does Earth looks like a giant ball of flesh and tentacles?"

I feel cringy writing this, because I wanna say it's a terrible series because the story sucks... but I had a lot of fun rewatching it. Can I even call it garbage? Because it has genuine great animation, which is at least 50% on what makes an ANIMATED series good, right?

It's also a bit refreshing to see something a bit fast paced compared to TADC's recent "character therapy" scenes. Yeah they're two very different shows as different genres (kinda of? they are both horror, right?), but you never know what you have until you miss it.

This is the whole story, I think. I skipped some filler in the process.
After rewatching the show, yeah this is still a pretty accurate summary. I would only add that there's a short moment where Uzi wanted to "DESTROY ALL THE HUMANS", but this plotline goes very short-lived for some (VERY convoluted) eldritch horror goodness instead.

Uzi no longer gets possessed because she stops being a little bitch (yes, the show literally says that)
It's actually funny how accurate this is, but I think what gave her the anti-demon possessive powers is by wearing her mother's choker... which prevents her from being taken by Solver... for some... reason. It's not like the shows explains most things anyways.

Aren't they like 17-18 years old since they had a prom, a thing organized especially for 12th graders?
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I kinda gave the age 14 due to how Uzi's dialogue feels a bit too immature.... but then again, writing a 14 year old and a 17 year old probably isn't that different lol.

and then my boy N says:

I actually not even sure if what he's saying is supposed to be taken literally or metaphorically, it makes a bit of sense in context (TL;DW: Uzi is becoming her true demon self or algo, and N is preventing V from slaying her), but I think saying "She's a drone/a person! Like us, V!" would've made more sense. What a weird dialogue chocice.

I guess technically any of them can be kids, like how Jenny from My Life is a Teenage Robot is technically a 5 year old in that show... but It's better not to think too much about it, my inner weeb is already smelling the "1000 year old dragon loli" arguments that I would rather not engage with.

At most we got Nori remarking that N seemed familiar and then it's never brought up again. :story:
It was actually genuinely infuriating, I actually forgot Nori even said that when I was rewatching and was like "Oh cool, so they maybe they gonna show her in a flashback on the mansion or when N first arrived as a murder drone".... and nope, they just never bring it up ever again.

They actually never bring up the fact Nori is alive again, like you'd think the post-credits would mention that Uzi would be trying to find her mum, but nope, she just doesn't exist anymore... neat!

For the slutty one.

A side character that shows up in 3 episodes!? Nonsense, I shall simp for the one that has 2 lines of dialogue instead:

This makes me thing of his first pilot called clifside
Actually, did you know MD was the second "murderous and abominable robot girl" made by Liam? He also made an unfinished series named Internecion Cube

It's a bit funny seeing how much of this stuff became MD eventually.

I was rewatching and was like "Oh cool, so they maybe they gonna show her in a flashback on the mansion or when N first arrived as a murder drone".... and nope, they just never bring it up ever again.
See now THAT would have actually been a great use of Episode 5 and would have tied things together way better. They could have had a scene of N encountering Nori in the past revealing that she was originally one of Tessa's mansion drones and that's how she got infected in the first place.
Maybe later for whatever reason since she didn't turn into a disassembly drone she somehow got transported offworld during the chaos of Earth's destruction to be researched along with Yeva and some other non-important infected drones. Idk maybe they had a weird resistance to Cyn's control or something and they thought they'd hold the key to completely locking Cyn out of their systems.
So much could have been explained with very little effort which is why it amazes me so much that the show just goes "Nah, I don't wanna."

They actually never bring up the fact Nori is alive again, like you'd think the post-credits would mention that Uzi would be trying to find her mum, but nope, she just doesn't exist anymore... neat!
She's in the series credits? Maybe you missed her. She's just back living at the colony as a little... crab drone core thingy I guess. But yeah they never explain how she survived or anything not even an offhand comment about it, it's just completely ignored.
(Oh yeah they also never explain why Alice hates either, or why she's just kind of camping that office building. Or how Nori managed to get past her assuming she """died""" outside the building instead of inside. ect. Which considering Khan himself says he put her out of her misery which is even more confusing... did he know? Like what the fuck? So many fucking loose plot threads.)

I actually not even sure if what he's saying is supposed to be taken literally or metaphorically, it makes a bit of sense in context (TL;DW: Uzi is becoming her true demon self or algo, and N is preventing V from slaying her), but I think saying "She's a drone/a person! I guess it is fair to be skeptical since the creator himself didn't say it so whether it's just something the voice actors said to shut their faggot fans up or actually canonical is anyone's guess.
