Glitch gets government money and was created with the sole purpose of monetizing, ain't nothing "humble" about them.

You know, this is just my opinion, but as bad as Murder Drones was as a show, Liam was never involved, nor has he been to this day, in a major controversy like Gooseworx. At least he knows how to keep quiet and doesn't make a fool of himself on social media like Gooseworx, and I respect that.

I wanted to see what Fredrator Studios and Mondo Media made bc im only familiar with Rooster Teeth and the autistic RWBY, Camp Camp, etc fandoms, which are indeed similar to Glitch.
As expected Mondo Media isnt really behind anything noteworthy, peaking with Happy Tree Friends. But WTF do you mean Fredrator started in the 90s and is behind Fairly Odd Parents, Adventure Time and Castelvenia ??? I thought they just did '100 facts about THIS disney movie' videos

They also created a series called Dick Figures, which was apparently popular enough in its time to successfully fund a movie based on it through Kickstarter. And so far, that's the only time Mondo has produced a movie. There were plans for a Happy Tree Friends movie, but it entered development hell.

I think they’re referencing short lived tv series they tried to make on youtube, like Bravest Warriors and Bee and Puppy Cat, that crashed and burned. But, your example kinda proves his point. On their own? Oil Fires. Studio Backing them? Two shows that started out good, then went down hill, or something wearing Castelvenia as a skin suit, but that’s at least watched.

Might as well crosspost here too:

I also mentioned it in the TADC thread, but in many countries minors might not actually be allowed into the theatre for the Amazing Digital Circus Finale movie.
Taking Germany for an example, if their OWN local German committee hasnt rated the movie yet, it is effectively considered 18+. And their 3 highest ratings are 12+, 16+ and 18+/unrated. Indie movies also tend to get a delayed rating, getting rated right before or even AFTER the premiere.

For their 16+, 18+ and unrated movies, NO people under that age are allowed in at all, even with supervision, and they usually check ID's. For 12+, no under 6's are allowed in, and 6-11 year olds are only allowed in with their parent, or with another adult only if they have written permission from the parent. The TADC film will most likely get rated 12+, 16+ or unrated.

And checking the theatre sites, many tickets have already been bought in Germany for the movie without a rating being out yet, a lot probably by parents especially for the mid-day german dub showings. So im unsure how many of these ticket holders will actually get to go...

I don't think this is one of the aspects Glitch thought trough before doing this big international film release, knowing their audience. The movie releases in a month, most films appealing to kids wouldve already been rated by now.

I was on Twitter and saw that there's an indie pilot in development called "Hey".

Twitter instantly fell in love. They're saying things like, "Wow, indie animation is revolutionizing the landscape like never before now that there are black people creating indie pilots with black protagonists, there's never been an indie animated sitcom starring black people before! This series is groundbreaking!" and they insist it will be a massive hit.

Now, the reason I'm posting this here is because, among all the praise the trailer is receiving, a random user commented the following:

"GLITCH, YOU MUST PICK UP ANIMATED BLACK SITCOM, OR YOU'RE RACIST AND YOU'RE NO LONGER INDIE!"

How did you manage to confuse the word "Episodic" with "Ensemble" twice?

Hey, don't go off-topic! And yes, this is in the same thread.

While I think this looks fine, I don't think "Hey" deserves the Lackadaisy treatment, especially since the pilot episode hasn't even been released yet.

This is what some people had to say:

Vivziepop isn't even indie anymore. Helluva Boss is now being funded by Amazon.

Ah, yes, my favorite Glitch Productions show: "Murderbots".

They do realise Glitch makes almost all their cash off of marketable characters and merchandise, right? They cant depend purely on bleeding heart whites to throw a few pity bucks their way for the sake of virtue signalling, a show like this will attract a mainly black audience who arent exactly known as big spenders on official goods. Especially with characters as ugly and bland as these specific ones.

Black people could literally just come together, start an indie studio and crowdfund the project within their own community, but they wont, because that wouldnt work. Or maybe it would, but expecting some asian-australians to bail them out before they even tried is not a good sign.
