Imagine if you will that your currently salary decreases every year by 10-15%. What plans can you make now that will help you as the years pile on? Will you be able to stockpile enough mylar bags of beans to survive the next twenty or thirty years if you live in a small house or in a one bedroom apartment?

I'd suggest an alternative. In my estimation the most likely scenario to prepare for is mental and educational since you can't have that taken away. If you take lessons on fixing households like basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical or home security then you are paying now for an education which will only cost more as monetary inflation continues. It may come to pass that in order to do anything to your house/home/trailer a city permit is required. Better fix what needs to be fixed now. And better learn how to fix it yourself. It may be good to get licenses yourself on permitting or filing paperwork. If there is one thing a communist regime likes is clerks. Those who work for the bureaucracy didn't starve, but most of them (those that could keep their mouth shut and eyes averted from the tragedy) slowly got poor like everyone else. Not everyone worked in Siberian mines in the USSR.

Also, materials for learning is only going to go up, so start practicing the trades you want to dabble in as you can afford better today the supplies which may be unavailable tomorrow. If you live in a house, do you have at least one window AC's if central air goes down? Can it run off a generator? In communist eastern Europe there were a premium on radios that ran off of and the batteries themselves. What about getting small solar panels and rechargeable batteries? How many PDF's do you have in computer storage? Start collecting the knowledge in ebooks and hard copy now.

I don't think the powers that be will shut down the internet, since they are all on the same team, the tech sector and the government sector. Better to keep it to push propaganda. It may be that citizens are only allowed on approved internet sites, so prepare for the great firewall. You can download a whole library of ebooks fiction and non-fiction that you can read over the years on a iPad from 2011 or a laptop with an SSD drive or a bootable pile of USB drives. I have devices almost 15 years or older covered in dust that still boot up and work.

Also Kiwix. Allows you to read wikis and other sites offline.

Delphi Classics sell pretty good comps of Public Domain stuff. Also drm free. A lot of their releases have extra stuff like Biographies and Criticism included too. Non English works tend to have multiple translations too. The Charles Dickens ones has a shit load of stuff. So much so they created a separate release for it.

The Harvard Classics is a great value. A lot of them are available on the high seas yo ho!

I know the feeling. I should be saving but instead I just spent a month of my wage to book a holiday. Haven't been anywhere in 4 years, who gives a shit anymore. Give me sun and booze. The world will burn down no matter what and no matter how many boxes of pasta, dry beans and flour I stockpiled. Sorry for the personal blog, I'm exhausted in ways I cannot explain.
Your government is just going to print more gibs for unemployment benefits and food stamps so don’t worry.

Same. I went on a big trip this year. It's like "yeah, I should have spent this on a generator, gold Eagles, and canned food" but if we go into a depression or economic collapse that might be the last time I could take such a trip in my life. Those memories are worth more than a few more weeks of canned ravioli and solar panels.

Sometimes you gotta do you. It can't be all doom and gloom and prepping.

Peeking around ultra far-lefty reddit and it's becoming VERY VERY obvious as to why the left is very, very desperate to kill (literally) Libs of TikTok to prevent her from showing the normies what the left actually believe:

This isn't as dumb as you think since your money is rapidly losing value and there's really not any ways to save besides converting your money into an asset less vulnerable to inflation/banking retardation like PM or land or converting your money into something you'll need tomorrow (food, ammo, etc.). Alcohol is actually a good purchase since you can make hand sanitizer with it (with vodka at least), can purify water, it's high in calories/carbs, it can keep for a very long time if properly stored (decades to centuries), it's good for bartering with, and it's fun to drink.

You're probably fucked anyway and if SHTF for real then you're either thoroughly fucked or you'll be able to hang around people who if you work for them and follow their orders they'll give you food and clean water and if you're lucky some guns/ammo they looted from somewhere. People take care of others in times of disaster provided they're not obviously bad people/trying to kill you. That's how the human race survived this long.

Be careful liquidating all your savings into assets right now. There's going to be a deflationary rugpull right before the hyperinflationary rugpull.
Even if it’s silver or (lol) gold? I’m not wealthy, I’m basically a “thousandaire”, so I can’t park my money in real estate or something.

I’m thinking about getting back into stacking “brass”, though.

Yeah. I am a huge gold bull but only long term. What do tyrannical governments do when they begin losing their grip on the economy?

Capital controls. Gold is a rigged market and they can rig it much further. This is actually bullish for gold long term but can be bearish short term.

As long as your rent or mortgage is denominated in USD you need a way to service those debts.

Germany takes step closer to gas rationing

Lmao . All i can say shutting down those nuclear plants is screwing them harder. Btw they already got prices controls on energy prices to make it even worse
I like how the article goes "How could this happen??? Russia isn't a reliable gas seller!!!"

:story:

I hope it was worth Macron telling Putin to go fuck himself.

Krauts should have know they were fucked when they voted a "Green" party into power lol

I posted a little while ago about a supermarket wagie friend telling me about spiralling prices in euroland. I'm currently on holiday in [some EU shithole]. Been to the supermarket like 4 times last week and keep an eye on prices out of curiosity, can confirm prices on certain products have been jumping each time I've been in - on the same product, in the same week. Shit is fucked.

i know DEF apparently uses chinese pig urine, but could regular dog urine be a subsitute, or cat urine?

^a recent vet trip inspired this post.

also anyone have some neat ideas for left over flat soda or beer? 4th of july i'm expecting a lot of leftovers.

Get a co2 system for the keg and you don't have flatness or staleness problems.
And idk... ferment the soda and distill it? Not sure how well it'd work. Or use a system that carbonates on site and no freshness problems

i meant macgyver style ideas. like how people here are setting up hydroponics for pickles or stoves using solar panels. or using their pets urine to fuel their 18 wheelers

You can use the beer for boiling/steaming hotdogs/sausage links, in stews, beans, things like that. I think you can even use beer in baking but I don’t have any recipes handy.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend fermenting and distilling flat sodas. You will get a product of some sort, but I doubt it would taste any good. Just use a mixture of sugar, yeast, and your choice of yeast nutrient if you want something cheap.

What you could do, if you do ferment the flat soda, is distill as much of the flammable products as you can and use them to fuel a homemade spirit lamp or something. That's sort of MacGyver-ish, I guess. Get creative with it.
