I swear to God, the past 3 years have been the same shit on repeat, it's like globohomo's outrage machine is broken and stuck in a loop

Start of 2020:
  • International conflict and WW3 threat
  • Deadly pandemic spreads worldwide
  • Outrage over cops doing something the public didn't like
  • Forest fires

It's gonna be exactly like this in 2024, fuck my life

How old are you? You don't have to answer, and I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you - but I feel like you could apply that pattern across the last few decades of my life.
The aids epidemic was what? 1980? Iran-contra was '87, the cuban missile crisis was '62, the soviets collapsed in '91, columbine was '99, h1n1 was 2009, ebola was 2015, la riots were '92. All of these events happened decades apart, and never at the same time. The fact that war, pestillence, famine and death are repeating in 2-year intervals makes it seem like the whole world has lost the plot

Literally get off the internet for a while. Stop consuming the same media that confirms your world view. Goto church and see the good in people locally.

Your concerns are valid but you are no one with no influence to change it just like the rest of us.

Be more selfish and do what makes you happy. If arguing on kf and scaring normies with facts gleaned from 4chan makes you happy I would say it doesn't because here you are not happy.

Just don’t think about it. Left or right, this sensory overload of information has one goal: occupy your mind. People are profiting from the hairs falling off your scalp whenever you worry yourself over whatever shit is being shown on the news. The best thing you can do is ignore it. That way, they lose another dollary doo or two.

Remember when we thought the 2010s were bad? I remember feeling a distinctly apocalyptic vibe in 2014, things calmed down a bit in 2015, only for that feeling to return in a big way in 2016 and continue on for the rest of the decade.

But all that was mild compared to the absolute nightmare the 2020s have been from almost the moment they started.

It really feels like this is the end sometimes, the world is falling apart.

Forest fires constantly happen, the conflicts involving Russia have been going on for literally a century at this point and we're pretty much always on the precipice of war, there isn't a pandemic anywhere near the scope or scale of covid on the horizon unless you think monkeypox will go any further than the ebola scare from 2015 did, and cops have always been shit.

unless you think monkeypox will go any further than the ebola scare from 2015 did
It's not even an epidemic.
Lol. Lmao.

You guys aware of that treaty being done to give the WHO the power to override signatory governments and basically rule by edict if a pandemic is declared? It won't matter how bad it actually is. We've already had people die covid and by covid I mean a motorcycle accident

This is going to seem unrelated but I promise it is not. So, let's discuss time travel. One of the big questions posed about the practicality of it is: what happens if you go back in time and change the future? It seems like it would be paradoxical and impossible, but how frequently has humanity thought something impossible only to discover we were limited by our own ignorance?

Let's gloss right over the practicality of how it happened and presume that it did. All of us left behind are in a timeline that no longer happened. Now one possibility is instantaneous destruction, which obviously could not have happened in this case. This leaves two major possibilities:
  • Gradual deletion- life carries on as bits and pieces of this timeline begin to disappear. In multidimensional/non-linear time this means our future is just as likely to disappear on us as the past (reminder of just how little we know about our past). But, from our perspective something still has to happen. Well, what happens sometimes when software goes to use an asset and finds that it is not there? It uses something else instead that it still has. If this is the case I regret to inform you that humanity as we know it is entering it's Endless Eight arc.
  • Dimensional Merge- unironically there is the possibility that as we get shunted back to the true dimension, things that were changed are replaced on at-least a temporary basis with "assets" that were not deleted (sometimes with slight modification).
I'm not sure what the take away is from this but it struck me as terrifyingly not-impossible.
