"Destined to reign forevermore!"RIP Robot Prince of Auchtertool. He was quite the lad
Kinda shocking how fast Angus McSix blew up in parts of Europe but not really. I don't think anyone thought of Gloryhammer as anything but the Angus Mcfife band at the end of the day.I find it funny that the front man for gloryhammer was a college educated lawyer
But new gloryhammer kind of sucks they don't really have the energy anymore it sounds good but it's really not the same
But it's for Thomas I think his new band's going to eventually overtake gloryhammer I'd say the first album it's not exactly there yet
And as for power metal being goofy the first big power metal Act man of war
Which they refuse to call themselves the first power metal act because according to them they are American Heavy Metal and that's different for some reason
Was insanely Goofy and took itself a bit too seriously when people said the music was a bit Goofy
Which is funny because it's a side project for Mark Bowles and most of the other members are hired guns. I think the drummer was the only other main collaborator when he formed the band.Kinda shocking how fast Angus McSix blew up in parts of Europe but not really. Sword Lord is a certified banger, and maybe my personal favorite from Gloryhammer.
I do appreciate how GLORIOUSLY stupid Angus McSixx is willing to be though. Laser Shooting Dinosaur puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.
I love power metal BECAUSE I love all the cheesy idiocy that comes with the very best of the genre.
I actually think that's why there's so much choral work on Sword Lord. I agree that he is not as good as Tommy, but I disagree that a high, ringing voice is a bad thing for power metal. The new lead singer's voice is just way too soft like Thomas can at least hit the high notes
It makes the band sound really a feminate and that's just not good for a power metal band
He was also involved in a cover-up one of the best man of war songs
But I'm just going to say this has way too many vocalists and too much going on the cool thing about man of' war songs is the instrumentals never overwhelmed the vocals
