OP gayness aside, the go woke go broke is mainly cope. Crowds are far too stupid and lazy to care about the fact random character #638 is diversity hire (especially when that character gets cut in their country) and just want the dopamine kick from watching CGI splurge on their face. Or even just knowing what the current meme is for upvotes on reddit.

I fucking tried writing Zach Schneider SEVERAL messages over twitter that Chauvin dindunuffin and he’s NOT FUCKING RESPONDING

It don't find it all that unusual that creative people who promote the political views of the rich and powerful wind up getting rewarded for those efforts. Just like I don't find it all that unusual that huge-budget media that pushes political propaganda winds up getting ignored by general audiences and cancelled. Hollywood is bloated with cash and it can go on making Woke PSAs for decades to come. That doesn't mean that it will be able to do so forever.

Nuance is a forgotten essential item in movies, but then again suckers who often spend way too much to go to theaters will continue to do so, so the bar wasn't set very high to begin with.
