Infected goanimate spergs

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The CN logo is there for a reason.

Oh yeah, they have a big habit of trying to make out that their cut-and-paste animations would be suitable for TV audiences. The lengths these kids go to is actually mind-boggling, to the extent of creating bumpers, credits, sign ons and sign offs. The amount of sperging these kids go through just to create something that could be made in five minutes without all the extraneous stuff is incredible, and furthers the point that these are really just obsessed children.

Which seems demeaning to the people might actually worked on such "cut 'n paste" efforts we used to complain about a decade ago on TV, those guys were artists at least.

*sigh* It really is. At times like this I feel glad to be as old as I am, this is like the equivalent of the sort of stuff kids used to do privately in their own bedrooms, perhaps into a tape recorder or even a camcorder if possible. Only the Internet has opened this up to the world who didn't ask for it at all.

Why do so many of these 'Boris the Teeth Guy' (AKA: I'M BEING EDGY LOLOLOLOLOLOL) videos have to be so edgy and push YouTube's rules? These videos are also incredibly low quality, even for normal GoAnimate standards.

I'm honestly surprised GoAnimate hasn't outright banned these sorts of videos from their platform.

GoAnimate actually purposely removed the "Comedy World" theme from their animation creator because they were being harassed by Family Guy, saying that their style was so similar. They aren't even aware that the style is still embedded in their code, which allows some people to "request" the theme and use it.
GoAnimate is not only an animation creator, but a hosting network, so not much is reviewed.

I guess because the animations are coded in Flash or HTML5, they can't get rid of the old themes properly or they'll end up borking all their older animations. It'd make sense as to why they never seem to fully get rid of the old themes.

I didn't realize how old GoAnimate is, it'll turn 10 this November. Certainly was enough to build up an unfortunate following as it did.

I bet the creator had no intention to let his site turn into what it has become.

Slightly off topic here, but I actually found a good use of GoAnimate! For visuals, someone used it to illustrate a conversation between two AI chatbots with interesting levels of intelligence.

It was really meant to be the equivalent or a upgrade from a slideshow or powerpoint presentation in any meeting to get the message out of what you're trying to say or do. In this way, using animation with characters and other visual aids was what GoAnimate was meant to be used for, business. Obviously it got sidetracked when they let EVERYONE use it.

I mean, they were on the right track by introducing a 'For Schools' section for the kiddos to flock to, but the children have basically transformed what was once a respectable website into this mess. I wonder if anyone even uses GoAnimate for its original purpose nowadays?
