It was originally a joke tech demo someone created that went so viral that people demanded the creator release it. So he's going to release it on Steam and you can preorder it off his site.

Supposedly the creator is also going to allow for players to create custom maps where you run around as a goat and do stupid shit.

The game also scores you based on how much havoc you create and how far your ragdoll flies.

I always wanted to know what it was like being a goat!

I wonder what people from 25 years ago would think about the future of gaming if they were able to glimpse at this, and only this, game.

They think it would be awesome, duh, you're a goat! It's better than all of those guns and stuff.

They'd weep.

I must admit though, I really like the song in the first video, it better be in the game! If not, well, I could always listen to it separately. I guess I like it just because it kinda frames the oddness of the game.

Looks fun and original. Hope it lives up to whatever hype it gets.

I was around (and playing video games) 25 years ago and i'm here to tell you that I would have thought this was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.

But will I get hats?
The game promises to have Steam Workshop support, so people can mod in hats if they really want.

The game is released now, and having played it I'd like to say it's surprisingly fun. There's little things hidden throughout the map and it overall a fun experience. The game is pretty short, but there's steam workshop support so fans can make their own levels.

I've watched Markiplier play some of it. Don't think it would amuse me that much if I were to play it myself, since it seems like something that would get old fast, but it can be pretty funny.

*old thread bump* Goat simulator 3 is out and Sonichu stuff animals are in it. Not making that up! I think you count Crazy Frog as Goat Simulator 1.
