5 entire days playing Skyrim.

That all? I've logged at least 3x that much and I don't consider that to be very impressive. I'm going to have a look through his list and see what conclusions I can jump to/pull out of thin air.
TGK with a shotgun

That's not a real gun...right? He just took the red thing off the end to look intimidating...right?

Jesus that's a terrifying sight.

It's real. Jay said he doesn't go to the range that much these days. Shooting paper targets has lost its spark.

After watching the streams and talking to Goldie, I've come to the conclusion that he doesn't know fuckin' shit about computers. I can see why his tech job was so stressful.

I was under the impression he only shoots airguns and doesn't have (or use) a gun that takes actual ammunition.

Maybe he's tired of the gun range because he's pathetically terrible and isn't making any improvement on his aim?

I'm guessing he has a real rifle somewhere. He said he didn't want to show off his guns on the stream. FWIW, I believe he does have an NRA badge or medal or something, no clue why he doesn't shoot anymore.

He has an NRA certification for rifles. From what I could tell it's the highest level a civilian can take. He talked a few times in his journals about applying for a concealed carry permit but I never read him saying he actually applied for or received one.
His dad is/was involved with running a shooting range or gun club.
It'd make sense that Jay is now bored with shooting. He's hit the level cap, so to speak.
He's not in it for the camaraderie, and he won't get any more certificates to boast about.
The bored with paper targets bit is ominous, although maybe not as bad as it could be.
Jay seems to have a strong fear of the insects, spiky plants, bacteria and YUCK that lurk in the woods. So hunting is out. Clay pigeons don't bleed or feel pain so they're probably out.
Jay's too cowardly to enlist and too frail physically and mentally to pass basic training.
Hopefully Jay has realised his fantasy of getting jumped by a gang of robbers and then gunning them down is best left unattempted. It'd also need a concealed carry permit. I gather Maryland is quite restrictive on who they issue these to; would Jay's history of counselling and medication for mental health problems disqualify him?
In any case, Jay won't be shooting anything but targets any time soon. Hopefully.

Wait, does he have his finger on the trigger? If that's loaded and that fired, he could break his finger. I hope GK's wasn't dumb enough to load it, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

Looks like it is, and that's a huge breach of common gun safety. He'd get kicked out of almost any reputable range for that.

He seems like the type of person who follows the rules until someone who can scold him isn't looking. Source: the whole "if it wasn't for laws I'd kill so many people" thing.

Makes me wonder who took the photo though.

It's pretty simple.

His father never hugged him.
His mother hugged him too much.

Who wants to bet that his mother wears minimal makeup and doesn't use nail polish?

I've neither commented much nor seen the streams, but I have read some of the comments and chat snips, and I've noticed yet another element of Jay's behavior that seems to put him in the same brotherhood as Chris and David Gonterman. Ignore me if I sound like a dilettante here.

Here's Jay, right? An epic loser going on and on about how he's going to set the world aflame simply by virtue of being the inimitable Jay Geis. What does being Jay Geis involve? Well, uh ... not much, really. All that's apparently supposed to knock us on our collective buttocks is that Jay wants to be famous and successful, and that he has created a heavily fictionalized version of himself that he's featured in poorly drawn comics or badly written fiction. He sees his flaws as being minimal (despite the fact that they have actually caused him real problems in life) and his strengths to be magnificent (despite the fact that they're virtually non-existent, or are actually just his flaws seen through a positive light). Nothing in Real Life lends any credence to his egotistical convictions, but his occasional online relationships (mostly platonic) give him all the fuel he needs to see himself as popular and full of potential in his mind.

Jay's path to greatness is not Jay's alone to travel. It's up to others to help him reach his goal. It never occurs to him that millions of strangers (which would be the number required for him to be as successful as he wishes) might not care about his desires, his welfare, or even his presence on this planet.

But then reality kicks in, and it kicks Jay. Jay's reaction is classic Butthurt Lolcow. If you happen to get into an argument on Youtube, ya best dig in, because there are jokers out there who will simply not let it go until they get in the last word, no matter how foolish it may make them look. Jay? Not so much.

"Enjoy the show or don't. Either way, don't shoot the piano-player. All I know is, all these points compounded have bugged the bejebus out of me and I have no clue how to best handle this emotional disturbance.

Given tonight's reception, I am beginning to feel sick of putting up with the annoying and bothersome people in the chat. Even if they're as innocent as I am, it still makes me feel bad, and that completely ruins whatever fun I'm having - and it shows. Maybe I *should* get a moderator to handle all chat for me, but again, it has to be someone dependable and proven to be trustworthy. There aren't any people like that."

This was from his third stream's log (props to Obamatron). This is an excellent example of the "Don't hurt me!" mentality that we've seen from "Don't torture me!" Christian Chandler.

"I have been in a number of moments of finding peace and losing it later, because YOU damn trolls won't leave me be. And even the Impatient Fans; Honest, True and Loyal as you all may be, you all are part to blame in this as well. Y'all are mostly immature people who have no lives of your own. Y'all don't want me to have a Life Of My Own; Y'all don't want me to find Long-Term Peace and Happiness for myself ... You all are nothing bug greedy, impatient, unloved and corrupted people."

This is one of a plethora of messages from Chris bashing away at the "trolls" for not letting him live a life of peace, which goes on to tear at his "fans" as well for pushing him to publish more comics, making the endeavor seem like work to him. While there maybe differences, what we are seeing here is the exact same phenomenon being perpetuated by two separate individuals born miles and ten years apart: that of two awesomely brilliant and peerlessly superior badasses telling their detractors to leave them alone. They do not engage in battle here (though some may say that Chris at least made his attempts), they aren't instructing their 'fanbase' to leave the chat and join them again in another. They simply want the bad people to stop bothering them, and for someone else to protect them (in Jay's case, he thinks about getting a moderator, whereas Chris has always tried to throw other people into the path of this enemies while attempting to keep a safe distance himself).

David Gonterman doesn't like to get yelled at. Fair enough, but instead of doing some deep introspection as to what it is that gets him yelled at all the time, he'd simply rather drop the argument and run away, or block the person who is challenging him. And make no mistake, the forum messages on his The Ballad of Johnny Briz deviantart comic are not insults, they are not abuse, and they are not trolling. He just stops participating in conversations where practical questions about fixable flaws in his work are asked.

These men are paper tigers. Cowards. It is fascinating to see the deficit of character defined when you see the difference between the image they project of themselves and the true person holding the pencil.

I revisited our first thread on GK last night. In the 4 months since the OP, GK hasn't learned a god damn thing except to make sure his "Hero 2" has a webcam. His art and writing are exactly the same. He still gives out TMI without the slightest hesitation and is just as full of himself as ever.

I think I figured out the foot fetish and sadism stuff.

Note that Jay does not like to be barefoot himself. Note also the repeated mentions of how going barefoot exposes one to the horrors of dirt, bugs and sharp objects.

He likes to see women "bravely" going barefoot and like to imagine them accepting his sadistic attentions for the same reason. He is a coward, and he gets a vicarious thrill from the bravery of others. Just as he sets up video games with cheats and mods which allow him to plow unstoppably through endless NPCs in order to allay his sense of powerlessness, his sadism and foot fetish allow him to feel better about his own cowardice.
