2 years... 2 entire years, and they have literally NOTHING to show for it. If they keep this up, they will become the next Duke Nukem Forever.
2 years of devtime for a visual novel, mind you. One of the easiest game's on God's Green Earth to program. You just need writing and art.

Or at least, I think it was a visual novel? I don't know. I don't care, really.

I think it was supposed to be kinda like a telltale game, but more two-dimensional. Or maybe like a quest of late 00-s, but with multiple endings. But it's hard to tell, because I don't think we saw any gameplay yet.

Last I remember, the devs have been desperately flailing to try and label GVH as anything but a visual novel, as those are the territory of hideous heteronormative huwyte men who enjoy anime rather than scoff and turn their noses away at the mere mention of such outdated entertainment.
Meanwhile, work on I Wani Hug That Gator, the successor to the game they tried to parody, continues apace, fueled by pure autism.

It could be that it isn't meant to be a VN at all and more like Life is Strange, it'd make sense that they'd go for full 3D animation if its meant to be something more in that vein than just a really high production VN.

Wasn't this thing supposed to be a PS5 launch exclusive.
All things fair we did have a global pandemic and accompanying financial metldown.

yeah they do have a better excuse than a lot of people, but let's be honest making this required literally no irl interactions

Some devs miss a release date by a couple of months, some miss it by a couple of years, only a brave few manage to miss it by a couple of consoles.
It happens more often than you think.
This guy does an entire series about shit like that and it's pretty funny most of time. Good watching if you're into weird video game failures. Yes, he also has one on Duke Nukem Forever.

Oh this fat loser. Who only gathers stuff when others have already done all the work and in most cases his stuff is actually wrong.

Well fat loser goes without saying he is a youtuber. Also didn't really assume he did a ton of hard journalism nobody else had done. All I know is that he does those and that they're reasonably entertaining background noise and that I haven't seen a thread about him on here.

Isn't Life is Strange just a bad knock-off of the already tired Telltale style games? Which are, in their own right, all about ~choices~ and not a damn thing about gameplay, making them just modernized versions of Choose Your Own Adventure books from back in the 90s. It's all just Zork with extra steps and pretty pictures while you blunder around and rub your face on everything; if you're lucky, it's got good writing and the "logic" doesn't get to Gabriel Knight's cat moustache levels of absolute nonsense.
Snoot and Gator don't shy away from their origins: made by speds, for speds, Anon tested, jannie approved.

As gay and furry baity as this game looks, I have to admit a certain part of the concept is interesting to me. Not the teen drama part or the anthropomorphic dinosaur part, but the part about living in the "end of an era". Seeing how people handle impending and unavoidable doom. I'd be interested in other things that share that theme, though it would probably work better as a movie or TV show. Red Dead 2 had that end of an era thing where the Wild West was being tamed and people like Arthur were sort of their own conceptual dinosaur because of that. I just think "we're all for sure going to die, but we still have a little bit of time, so what now?" is a great prompt for interesting character drama.

Didn't that one dinosuar sitcom from I think the 90's also end with the world ending?

Yeah it did.

Wow that makes me feel fucking old I know this off the top of my head.

Sorry to disappoint you, but apparently the meteor is a metaphor for Fang's turmoil. It's not real unless you don't follow the troon-route.

It's really funny to me that a bunch of faggots on 4chan slapped together a more emotionally engaging visual novel before the game released that has effectively overtaken all of the conversation surrounding this xlgbtqrstv+. A bunch of hetero shitheads took their concept, did it first, did it better, and laughed the whole time. It must really chap their fucking asses to the next dimension.
