Because it's not narratively necessary. I hate to break this to you but Reed isn't a real guy, you can't talk to him. He doesn't go home and have hobbies he likes to do or a certain position he prefers to sleep in. The story doesn't address Reed's sexuality because it's just not in the game. As far as Cavemanon's intentions were, allusions to Trish's attraction to him not only adds a little depth to Trish but also provides as a logical narrative consequence that Reed would be or could be attracted to Trish as well. I.E. not gay. These things aren't always so congruent in real life obviously, but there's a level of romanticism necessary in writing satisfying fiction.

If anything the only reason to assume otherwise is just as a carryover from GVH, but IIRC even in the (final) GVH his sexuality isn't really addressed outside of being shoehorned into a throwaway unlockable scene since literally every main character in that game had to be disabled or LGBT. Between Cavemanon and KO_OP Reed's sexuality wasn't a high priority on anyone's mind. Beyond these two sources it's just furry pornography speaking. People will write the stories they want to but I don't have high hopes for any stories that try to make a meaningful narrative out of gay Reed.
Oh and there's also the fact that Alex of Cavemanon--in that big document explaining all the troubles Wani went through in development--went on a whole tangent about how much he hates LGBT people and how one of the first big snoot game mods was thinly veiled furry smut about Anon and Reed being gay and how much he hated it. So if you think Cavemanon's true and honest intentions were for Reed to be gay than by all means.

The second game genuinely has tranny characters, so I don't see why anyone is surprised. Also, as it has been pointed out, the game is grotesque torture porn and trannies love that shit. On top of that they love their own characters getting raped in the ass since it reminds them of themselves when they were around their creepy uncle, gives them a relatable experience.

In other news, if anyone's still desperate for Snoot Game content, a new larger fan project came out called Last Second Save. It's a standalone VN that's an alternate take on ending 1 where Anon decides to actually give a shit instead of gleefully neglect things, thus preventing the shooting but now he has to deal with the aftermath of the prom disaster. Has some cool ideas like bonus chapters that run concurrently with the story so we get more insight into the supporting cast during the whole thing.


Apparently it's going through a major revision with some involvement from Cavemanon, but at least it's a larger-scale fan made thing that was released in a finished state instead of just a demo or two before fizzling out. In spite of everything it's nice to see the fanbase is still active in this manner.

It's sadly how it is and we've seen it for years. I don't think there is one community ran by these gender specials that didn't feel like you're watching a bunch of stunted adults get stuck in a mental loop because they peaked in high school. Thing about Snoot Game is that it looks past the teeny bopper nonsense that GVH thinks is the most pivotal thing ever because it's mostly grown adults not getting over that high school doesn't actually matter. It's been analyzed already here but even I can't get over how juvenile the game feels when it's trying to be poetic at least Snoot knows this idea is nothing more than a shitpost but unironically adds depth where the devs of GVH didn't in some places.
