There's zero constancy to the anatomy. They have archaeopteryx with tails that act prehensile, none of the pterosaurs can decide what part of the body they want their wings on, the non-feathery wings lack any and all anatomy and resemble surfboards, where as the feathered wings have a lot more detail.

The only thing I can think of is that they're trying to do what gargoyles did, but they clearly lack the understanding of why the anatomical choices were made. The vast Majority of them have wings on their back and they're mostly anatomically correct. Usually for fantasy creatures they're going to be a mix of bat wings and raptor wings, and in this case the gargoyles are modeled more heavily on the bat side because those little hooks at the top of their wings are supposed to be a thumb. Bat wings are basically giant webbed hands.

This is a pretty good comparison chart, you can see the similarities

Now most fantasy dragons use bird anatomy for their wings, especially ones that have their wings on their back, even if they're leather and scaled, the wings will fold like a bird's wing because it looks aesthetically more pleasing, also any and all flight animations for dragons will usually be based on large birds like hawks and other raptors.

Volcano high clearly doesn't understand how pterosaur wings are supposed to operate

Their wings are attached by one long finger and has the webbing be one big membrane on the sides of the body.

They're intended to walk like this on all fours, now if you were to properly anthromorphisize this you would be having all their wings be attached by their arms and have the fight membrane be coming from the sides of their body. For a 3d model this complicates the rig a bit because you can't just use a normal human hand and you may need specific rigs for flying and for when their wings are folded and they need to move their arms and hands while talking like a normal human because humans move their arms a lot when talking. Basically to fold the wing right, you need a human hand where the pinky can be back 180 degrees and rest in an indent in the forearm itself.

I love how little thought these people put into their designs. Anyone else think they just played heads or tails on which dino got wing arms or on their backs?

I hate you for bringing Gargoyles into this but I also learned something from that. Most Gargoyles have six limbs. Most Gargoyles are insects.

Every GVH image I've seen the characters never look like they really belong in the scene because the background art is so radically different than the character art. In a better product the overall art director would work with both teams to make sure everything meshes together, but here they just don't care. So long as they layering isn't completely broken it's good enough, apparently.

We got an update on Workanon (Here and here for those out of the loop).

TL;DR: Last week, Workanon's dog developed pancreatitis and he has to spend 3k every other week on medications to keep him alive. Turns out the shelter lied about his age, being 14 instead of 7. Workanon's wife is taking it hard since it is her first pet and doesn't want to put him down. His wife accuses Workanon of not trying with the dog (which he is) and hates him for it. It's pretty rough for him, to say the least.

Dear Workanon

Put down your wife, claim life insurance, get money, fix dog.

You're welcome.

Wife hates him and is probably going to divorce him anyway. Just put the poor thing down. Their marriage isn't going to die with dignity, but at least the dog can.

Snoot devs checked in the /trash/ sticky thread, said that they're focusing on finishing the last major patch, and did a brief Q&A.

These are some of the sprites they showed off for their next game, YIIK 2 (working title)

They essentially made Harry Potter CP and posted it onto Kotaku. Big OOF.
(Most Likely) Just another case of a person/corporation uploading some disgusting shit to their website and the masses reacting in a negative way. Glad to see they still have some morals left and aren't completely brain dead. It's just corporations thinking that people accept and like this shit now. I could be completely wrong, so take this with a grain of salt.

Also, what is with it when bad games have character profiles, there all shit? All it reminds me of is the fucking MC SkatCat book introducing the characters.
