Pronoun forms are a hold over from when English was an inflected language, so they are following the rules just fine.

My public school education was piss poor. I didn't realize that until I went to college and was exposed to people with a proper education. If "it's its" is the worst mistake I'm making I'll take it. I'll try to remember that for the future though.
