Could it possibly be this case? I was confused at the time, since it appeared that a daughter's name was somehow tied up in this:
It was more recent than that case, as Arabia was talking about it playing out during the time she was staying with her/the early stages of her relationship with Yaba...so it would be somewhere around late 2020 or 2021, I would think.
The kids she named were Taryn and Daniel. Taryn was claiming Sam tricked her into signing the lease, but Taryn didn't live in the house. Taryn lived in a separate apartment that was let to her by the same management company, and she feared the eviction would also screw her over as she'd end up with an eviction on her rental history and would be kicked from her place. There was something about it interfering with Section 8 as well, but wasn't the main focus.
Throughout the stream all sorts of financial issues between Sam and this particular daughter, Taryn, are detailed. There was this issue with the house, an outstanding car note that Sam expected Taryn to pay, an argument over Taryn's college financial aid money, which Sam felt should go towards Sam's own debts, car repairs, random money she requested from this daughter for unspecified reasons, and unemployment benefits taken in Taryn's name that Sam was preventing her from accessing--that one was a real doozy in terms of the way Sam behaved. Arabia showed texts between her and Taryn regarding these issues, but like
@grassy knoll noted, Arabia holds her phone up to the screen and it's difficult to follow. You can pause at the right moment and catch it for the most part, but it's not ideal.
Sam's son Daniel was the one staying in the house with one of Sam's animals, but I don't think he was on the lease at the time. It was just Samantha and Taryn. Daniel was stuck there with the overdue rent/bills, and Arabia said the landlord made an agreement with Daniel to work with him on the arrears so that nobody had to be evicted. ATX pointed out this was during the moratorium on evictions during the pandemic. I'm not sure if Daniel was ever able to catch up on all the back rent or what, but that was where things stood at the time of the stream.
So like Ron, Scamantha was gifted a house (if this is indeed the right case). What's funny is I remember Sam making fun of Ron's shitty house.
The gifted house thing stuck out to me for the same reason. As big of a loser as he is, Ron has somehow managed to keep his shitty gifted house whereas Sam couldn't pull that off.
It's been brought up that Sam may have gotten that bad check felony expunged so that she could buy her new car. I hope for Yaba's sake that's all it is and she's not looking to put Sam on a deed with her.
I kept thinking about the financial ruin Yaba could end up in due to Sam, but at the same time, Yaba didn't blindly walk into this relationship. It seems most of these issues with Sam were discussed in the drama community, so Yaba was aware, at least to some degree.
In the next stream
ATX, Savage, and Arabia~ Smelfer calls the cops AGAIN #samtefler from September 12th, Arabia says that Sam was awarded a Protective Order for Dating Violence - which Arabia is/was appealing.
Thanks for this. I watched ATX's very short video "What About Bob" to learn more about that situation, but I didn't delve into the streams any further, because like you said, they are chaotic and hard to follow due to the audio and how they're conducted. I had to take notes to properly follow the last one.
At 32:40 in the second stream, the police knock on Arabia's door: Sam called them because Arabia is streaming about her.
In the previous stream, Arabia said that Sam had spent the weekend trying to get three different law enforcement agencies to do something about her. She said Sam had sent the police to her house repeatedly, and also to Kalypso Pirate's house.
Losing a longtime friendship for any reason is heartbreaking - Sam and Arabia have known each other for over thirty years - but not for Sam. Arabia's whole life seems one of precarity and, if even half of what she says is true, it's just ineffably sad. But this is a narcissistic injury for Sam - only a couple of months ago, she would show Arabia's home on stream and on twitter, and was gleefully following her eviction proceedings. So don't cry Sam that now people are following all of yours.
It IS sad, but at the same time Arabia seemed to feel like they weren't really that great of friends--that they had known each other for 30 years, but that their friendship wasn't that deep. She said they met in a bootcamp for troubled kids and had remained in touch throughout the years, but that they would just visit each other as they never lived locally to one another. ATX asked her how she rated their friendship on a scale of 1-10, and Arabia said 4. That could be in retrospect, after everything that happened at the end. I couldn't blame her one bit for feeling a bit chewed up and spit out after being in the middle of Sam's fighting with her daughter and all the drama. It could also be that Sam's narcissistic tendencies make it impossible for her to have genuine relationships with people.
