Corsair DDR4 does look particularly shit I agree. Their DDR5 kits can look okay. I don't really like the squares they have on some of their Dominator kits though. The names are also just a little cringe.

G.SKill Trident memory to me is the best looking. But I ended up going with a kit of black/gold TeamGroup T-Create memory.

Rust will literally eat all of your vram and it's only gotten worse as the number of skins and FOTM monuments has ballooned.

Upgrade bug has bitten me. Decided to build a new rig before another tariff tantrum happens. Just ordered the 5070. Going to get the rest of the parts later. This new rig is going to have a 9700X, 32GB RAM, multiple SSDs. I'm going all out compared to my previous builds just because I can.

No idea what I'll do with the old build. Want to keep it together and maybe have it as a backup. Still a fantastic computer. Just needs a bigger SSD for the OS.

The trainer that helped me train my dog wanted me to help her set a website up. I guess I could use it for that. An i5 8400/16GB RAM/2070 Super is probably major overkill for a basic bitch(pun intended) website that says "I train dogs!"

Why not an RX 9070? Do you specifically need CUDA or something?
 
I am beginning to realize half the people on here haven't upgraded their PC in 10 years and think a 2700x + a 1660 is still a good time. Holy fuck update your shit before it breaks.

Consoomerism and modern games are rarely worth the dopamine of building a new system.

Plus GPUs are so overpriced at the moment it's just not worth it.

I still have a i5-4670k and an E3-1270 running important stuff(tm). Works for me.
