MLID claims that an AMD APU codenamed "Magnus" is possibly for the PS6, with 11 cores (3x Zen 6 + 8x Zen 6c) and a 384-bit memory bus (likely GDDR7).

Kepler_L2 says it looks too expensive and could be Xbox instead, and guesses 80 compute units (presumably a custom unit but mostly UDNA1). A Zen 6c core could be disabled for yields.

PlayStation 6, Next Xbox AMD Zen 6 “Magnus” APU May Have Leaked; 11 CPU Cores, 384-bit Memory Bus Revealed (archive)

In the video, MLID outlines his new take on Medusa Point, basically that it would have a hybrid design, with an optional additional CPU chiplet taken from desktop, and that 8 RDNA4 CUs *could* outperform Strix Point's 16 RDNA3.5 CUs because they have been so bandwidth-starved (as evidence, 12 CU Radeon 880M graphics performs close to the 16 CU Radeon 890M in some tests).

It also brings to mind when Renoir's 8 Vega CUs outperformed Picasso's 11 Vega CUs.

It's so sloppy that it's an insult to the chemical element.

How good is arm support for like most apps and games as of July 2025

Apps? It's okay. Games? It's unusable. Windows on ARM only exists for Slopdragon SOCs right now and they have extremely underwhelming graphics hardware. There's no support for AMD or Nvidia on Windows on ARM.

If you want ARM, go Mac.

Nothing will ever beat when I upgraded from a Northwood Pentium 4 to a first gen i7. Being able to open multiple programs while gaming or watching videos without any slowdown or stutter was impossibly awesome and nothing has come close since.

For me, it was going from a Pentium III laptop to a Pentium IV desktop with a GeForce 2. Suddenly, I could play every game out and have stunning, photorealistic, high-resolution graphics. This lasted for one year until games requiring DX8 started hitting the scene.

I went from a Trident chip to an S3 Savage 4 to a Geforce2MX to an ATI128mb to a pair of HD3870 X2s to a 6750xt to this 9070xt

EDIT: sorry, I forgot the 1050 in my laptop between the 3870 x2s and the 6750xt. Please disregard my idiocy.
