Event Graduations, terminations, and reincarnations - For when it has never been more over.

Graduation is such a creepy ass term. While it's meant to be corpo speak I can't help but see it an euphemism to euthanizing someone.
Graduation is generally a positive thing, it means you're moving on up to bigger and better. Its a sign of a promising future.
Yeah, though with Japanese idols it's probably worse since I heard they usually have a very bad time post idol work.
That's because most of them are just failed attempts at becoming movie stars. Its like the people who sign up for reality tv like dr. phil or kitchen nightmares wanting to get into hollywood.

Well, the newest graduation is definitely one of the bigger ones. Not exactly unexpected, but still a pretty big deal, Vtuber-wise.
It's really a canary in a coal mine kind of situation. Council/Promise attrition was just kind of a foregone conclusion due to it having been so poorly planned and the talents not really vibing with the culture, and Ame was always a little bit too skilled to stick with Hololive long-term when her big skills are kinda hard to use for her holosona.

Gura bouncing when her position is already so secure makes me think there's something very strange happening at Cover.

4-5 years is a long time. It’s almost half of Covers existence.

and really when you consider the age they were when they joined, it’s not that much of a surprise they are leaving now.

and then there is the fact that they joined in Covid, which forced things to be different.

It’s not actually that strange at all if people are honest, it just looks it due to obviously requiring staggered graduations so they can cover everyone to the same degree.

If they’d all gone at once it would be way more clear that contracts were up and with covid gone the introvert unwell streamers were going. Which may have been a better move in some respects honestly.

I don't even get why Rosemi hasn't graduated yet and gone indie or to another corpo. I don't even remember her collabing with anyone else in Niggersanji in forever.
I think her stream fell off after the Selen debacle, but I also think Rosemi literally doesn't care. She's probably treated better in Niji and gets steady pay, plus she's still well-liked.
