It looks like the specific class 5 felony doesn't qualify him as a registered sex offender, but it is a sex offense and a felony likely to be taken into consideration on any such application, possibly precluding him entirely, but almost certainly nowhere that houses disabled or elderly people would take him.

Nah, I don’t think so. That was something he specifically made up to sound as “trollish” as possible. Unlike his comics, it didn’t represent anything Freudian. It was a poor attempt at deception by trying to be as “anti-Chris” as possible.
Chris' worst enemy is Chris. He has proven time and again that his antics are his fault and he is known of constantly shooting himself in the foot. I think that up until now, it was because of Chris and his mental illness that he was able to skate by, given his past crimes were all misdemeanor level. Here, it's different. Chris Thinks that the law doesn't apply to him, and it's one of the primary reasons as to why he constantly gets in trouble. Now, I don't think his 'tism will get him out of this situation. He would be better off pleading guilty, but given his past, Chris doesn't think what he's done to Barb and all the action he did in the past were wrong. He doesn't think he's wrong.

That actually changed just last year. Va. Code § 19.2-271.6 (2021). Now mental health evidence is admissible even if the defendant is not pleading not guilty by reason of insanity, bringing Virginia in line with most other states.
