with IOI they were always beholden to the Eidos, then Squeenix, then WB, before self-publishing. IOI probably picked this game to publish because of the Leslie Benzies pedigree, if it's successful it's vindicating that he's the genius that made GTA what it is,
I cannot see Build a Rocket Boy being direct rivals with R* yet. Maybe their upcoming EVERYWHERE MMO game creation title would give them a run for their money on open-world innovation.

Yknow i forgot theyre doing EVERYWHERE too, i thought that became Mindseye but i think they showed it off somewhere. Dan Houser has his own company right? or is he doing Build a Rocket Boy too?

I think MindsEye was created from EVERYWHERE's framework. You could even access MindsEye from their EVERYWHERE platform, apparently. Remember, EVERYWHERE is a creation suite where you COULD create your own games.

He has his own entertainment company, Absurd Ventures. Not just video games, but books, graphic novels, films and TV shows. Lazlow is at Absurd Ventures as well.

I wonder what made Sam Houser stay put at Rockstar Games.

In GTA: Chinatown Wars, you can deal various drugs around Liberty City for a little profit. I wonder if R* had considered a minigame in CW where you'd COOK crack cocaine to distribute and sell?

That would've been controversial given that it was a DS title.

I'm 50/50 on this being a rogue R* agent just depositing large amounts of money/RP to random players or malicious hackers doing this to trigger an auto ban. The latter being less likely since this happened on a person's PS5 account, unless there's some internal exploit going around.

Am I the only one who likes some of the aspects of San Andreas but thinks the story and characters are kinda overhyped/glazed?
I liked SA, but felt the game just couldn't decide what it wanted to be. It was like it wanted to be Boyz N tha Hood, a murder mystery/revenge tale/Oceans 11 and Casino/and shades of X-Files and it just ended up as this mismash that didn't do any of them effectively (although the Boyz in the Hood and murder mystery/revenge were the best executed). I liked that it was larger and had more character options than VC (outfits could be customized, lowriders could be customized), but VC just felt like a tighter game to me, even with the side mission strings.

In general I think the 6th Gen GTA games are overall quality but San Andreas in particular has been helped by memes and shit

elaborate you fucking nigger.
i really don't think of it though, if anything the ending felt a bit meh and las venturas felt empty, kind of like a desert.
the heist is kind of railroaded GTAV style but it doesn't fail if a fly gets shot and the entire woozie casino part felt undercooked, now that i am old enough i get the feeling they ran out of gas by san fierro with the illegal cars ring, shoving up cesar straight outta nowhere, sweet being a massive faggot in denial about the hood being a weight on them was good but i don't know if it was intentional.
this video literally starts with explaining the lore reasons why you get a wanted level in GTA IV (which everyone knows) just to go on a "GTA was always political you hate women" rant
a bit offtopic but that video reminded me of another video about "pavement princesses" modern trucks where by the end of it the video turns about "toxic masculinity" rant, had to stop watching because my fag-o-meter was near critical and the guy had become insufferable in his retarded rant.
Leslie Benzies' company, Build a Rocket Boy, has announced a release window for their linear, action-adventure sci-fi title, MindsEye. Summer of 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series and Steam.
>zero gameplay and only cinematics circa 2025
they never learn, do they?
even consoomers are getting tired of this.

Yeah same. GTA 4 is still my favorite experience WiFi the series despite it being the least “GTA” of the series. I love Lost and Damned too and Ballad of Gay Tony is alright.
To me, the perfect GTA game would be
*a bunch of things I painstakingly wrote out on here only to find it lost, so I will do it in another post.

I agree with you on SA and VC. GTA 3 tho…ehhhh. I like it, quite a bit actually, but let’s not pretend GTA 3 isn’t just a glorified tech demo.
elaborate you fucking nigger.
I like the clothing options, car customization, gambling, world variety and so on.
The RPG elements are a bit annoying to tell the truth. I just enter cheats to max out all my stats. The ability to not switch back to being able to use one pistol/SMG at a time is annoying.

The characters aren’t as legendary as people claim they are. At least to me. I prefer the Vice City characters as well as GTA 4 characters.

I might make a thread for MindsEye as it looks like my sort of game. My concern is that there’s no true gameplay trailers, only cinematics and very stylized gameplay.
I do like that it’s 60 dollars and not stupid 70. But yeah I will definitely not be preordering.

It's been more than 500 days since the GTA VI initial trailer and the confirmed leaks. Since then, NO official information has been revealed about the title. I've never seen a product with this much radio silence before. Maybe Beyond Good and Evil 2, but who is even looking forward to that?

I don't even think that VI could live up to its massive, artificial hype. I say this, but when the second trailer drops, it'll be another story.

depends on the marketing team to astroturf it, especially with the woke/antiwoke gaytard war of late, playing well enough as a refined RDR2 but on modern times it might do alright especially if they make online events to boot.
else it'll be one of the biggest fumbles of rockstar that they will do everything possible to memoryhole it.
