I have to hand it to Rockstar, they somehow found a way to make me even more disgusted with what they've become.

At this point, I'm morbidly curious as to what sort of fucked up shit they're going to pull with GTA VI/Online 2.
They'll make GTA VI online-only like how RDR2 is on PC with the R* Launcher. Notice how PS+ members get GTA Online for free for three months before they pay for it. Or how Amazon Prime members get GTA Online bonuses. They're testing the waters.

What if your subscription lapses? Does your benefits disappear? GTA Online isn't an MMO. I expect this from PC games like Elder Scrolls or Fallout 76.

Online satarizes capitalism better than the story mode.
That parody shitting all over Call of Duty alone is fucking hilarious in light of everything they've done to GTA Online.

It's gotten to the point where Rockstar would make all those in-game companies go "What the fuck?!", it's pretty depressing.

More than anything, this subscription service demonstrates that they need a rival to knock them back into reality.

The community will be up in arms, and then pay for this shit I bet.

I'm so sick of gamers who can't just fucking stop when things get shitty.

Gamers are the most retarded beings on earth and have been since gaming became 'serious' on the PC and you're just finding out about this?

Whoa whoa whoa, what the fuck is this shit?

GTA+ Members can also take advantage of special GTA+ Shark Cards that provide extra bonus cash from the PlayStation Store on the PS5 or Microsoft Store.

Has there ever been an online game whose subscription service "awards" new microtransactions? Kiss my ass, Rockstar.

No, I'm just still sick of it. Maybe even more sick of it. I kind of expect this retardation from teens, but a lot of these people who are still playing GTA Online are now well into adulthood.

They'll probably justify it with "bUt RdR2 WaS G00d"

I really fucking hate that argument, "RDR2 was good so Rockstar is still on top". Yeah, RDR2 was good and they immediately abandoned it the second they released it. I'm almost 100% certain they only even made it because it was likely in development when GTA V was released so they couldn't just toss it out. They made two whole games within almost a decade. If your mom and dad fucked the night GTA V came out, your new sibling would be 9 years old by now. That's how long Rockstar and Take Two have milked this shit.

Fucking EA released both NFS Heat and Jedi: Fallen Order within the decade Rockstar coasted on Online. Both are pretty damn great games, yet when EA fucks up these people who praise Rockstar are the first to chime in on how much EA sucks. And rightfully so, EA deserves to be shat upon when 2042 shit happens, but the inconsistency from these Rockstar fanboys is what shows their real colors.

    • turismo2: $1,602,000 ($705,000 car + $897,000 HSW upgrade)
    • -----------
    • Deveste Eight: $1,795,000
    • Average HSW upgrade price so far: $870,111
    • Average vehicle AND HSW upgrade price so far: $2,274,111
    • Possible Deveste Eight upgrade price: between ~$480,000 and ~850,000
    • Total cost for HSW performance parts: $277,500
  • HSW Orange Trip livery
    • $0 as it's a special unlock unavailable to others
  • HSW CMYK Glitch livery
    • $0 as it's a special unlock unavailable to others
  • Conveyor livery (for Mammoth Avenger, HVY APC, TM-02 Khanjali)
    • $0 as it's a special unlock unavailable to others
  • Selection of paints and emblems from auto shop (uknown styles)
    • $178,500 for all and any paint
    • between $25,000 and $104,500 for emblems
  • Gusset Frog t-shirt
    • $0 as it's a special unlock unavailable to others
  • Broker Prolaps basketball top & shorts
    • $0 as it's a special unlock unavailable to others
  • Free auto shop in La Mesa (existing owners can re-locate for free)
    • $1,920,000 excluding upgrades (worth noting it's the most expensive Auto Shop! we've come a long way from the CESP and its Paleto Bunker)
  • Waived LS Car Meet membership fee (existing members will receive $50k)
    • $50,000
  • Free Aquarius Super Yacht upgrade for existing yacht owners
    • $8,000,000 excluding upgrades i misread, my bad
    • Aquarius price ($8,000,000) - Trade-in value of Orion ($6,000,000/2=$3,000,000) = $5,000,0000 value (500K less if you own a Pisces) - thanks @smurfynz!
  • Triple money and RP in HSW Race Series
    • Hard to calculate because the payouts range heavily depending on the amount of players.
    • A HSW street race with 27 players paid out $22,500 for first place, and $1,760 for the 16th place
    • So I reckon even with the 3x it'll be peanuts unless you consistently win in full lobbies.
  • Double car meet reputation in Street Race Series
    • worthless, but you get cash payouts every few 'milestone' ranks so if anything you can get those faster.
Estimated total, excluding the 3x on HSW street races & trade-in refunds and including the 500k bonus, we're looking at ~$9,726,000 on the lower end and ~$10,675,500 on the higher end worth of freebies during that month alone. Could be more, could be less, depending on HSW upgrade costs and Auto Shop emblems, but it's absolutely worth about 10 million. Just for $6.

Also I'd imagine they won't delete anything you acquired if you cancel the subscription, after all you paid for it and claimed your perks, however all and any discounts (whether unclaimed or permanent) are likely to become unavailable. Similarly, if you don't claim your free stuff before the next month perk reset, you won't be able to claim it anymore.

On a more positive note, I completed Chinatown Wars a few days ago, and had a really good time playing it. Decent story , nice mission variety (that one where you avoid the police by dancing in a dragon costume in Chinatown was very unique), a very well done recreation of IV's Liberty City, and some cool side activities (again, selling drugs is way better than buying/selling stocks in GTA V). I'm happy that I took a chance on it, if only Rockstar would make more spin offs like that instead of endlessly milking GTA Online.

Speaking of spinoffs, I heard that Sony is planning to add PSP games to their "Game Pass alternative", hopefully LCS & VCS get in.

GTA: SA has 17 different weather stages, volumetric clouds, decent shadow quality, "infinite" skybox without barriers. A game running on Renderware to its limits has all that from 17 years ago, yet this "definitive edition" from 2021 looks WORSE than the original game.

How do you do that?

By hiring the same jackasses that already butchered the game for the Xbox 360, and then tripling their workload while rushing them.

GSG are hacks, but I also blame Take-Two for being too greedy and Rockstar for not giving a shit about their past titles these days.
