Collectors can be retards, I had someone pay me 1000 dollars plus ridiculous shipping to Russia for my Claude Speed figure from the GTA III 10th anniversary back in like 2013. But at least that was a limited run and not just a mass produced repro in a goofy case.

Edit: Now it's worth 2000 I guess.

Fucking Rockstar, why bother making a 15 hour expansion for $20 when they can get away with selling a gold plane for $120?

GTA VI is so fucked, that asinine GTA Plus is a test to see how much more bullshit they can get away with.

Seriously, for the literal worth and time sink it takes to make a profit in GTA Online, you could buy other games that would respect your time and money.
 
I genuinely miss when people played GTA Online to have fun and not to spend hours trying to make money. You were always getting invites from randos to either play a contact mission, do a race or deathmatch. Heists ruined online and businesses killed it.

Exactly, why bother? It's not Rockstar's fault people are morons. If they see that only 10% of players finish the single-player game, but plenty of idiots are willing to pay a hundred dollars for gold planes, why blame them for taking free money?

I finished every mainline game after II and the DLC for IV, and replayed most of them over the years, but V was so dull I couldn't force myself to finish it.
I'm always somewhat baffled when people talk about how good V is. You like playing some assholes midlife crisis? Babysitting a family so obnoxious you want to murder every member the first time you meet them? Failing missions for violationg parameters previous games wouldn't even have?
You like a GTA that forces you to do Yoga, then forces you to reload if you 'fail' at yoga?
I always liked GTA as controlled chaos simulators where you could do whatever you wanted as long as you finished the mission somehow. But the sandbox just seems to keep shrinking into this 'cinematic' corset of endless cringy cutscences and "mission failed: you stepped on the grass" screens.
It is so obnoxiously handholdy it made me not even check out RDR2 despite liking the first one, because apparently this one is even worse than GTAV.

Obviously I didn't spend a cent on online, but if they wanted me to finish it they could have made a game that is fun to begin with.

I'm convinced people that think GTA V is a great game would think it's one of the worst games if there wasn't a mission select like the old games.

GTA V lives and dies on that mission select. GTA V isn't a great game, it isn't even a good GTA, but it has a handful of fun missions that people *really* like. I too was guilty of thinking GTA V was great until I actually tried to replay it instead of just playing the heists and a few other missions from the pause menu.

If GTA IV let you replay Three Leaf Clover and a handful of other missions, people would probably have a more favorable opinion of it. Zoomers and other faggots can complain that the 3D era was "basic", but it lead to the missions themselves being a lot more fun to play IMO. I still go back and replay the 3D era GTA's but I think I've only replayed GTA V once in the damn near ten years its been out.

The worst thing about RDR2 is that there are a few hidden deviations in some missions, but for the most part it's still the same "you didn't do exactly what we told you" shit that you never really even attempt to go against what the game is telling you to see them.

I have never touched the mission selector for V and I still think it's a great game. I still enjoy repeat playthroughs every now and then.
