I liked it for what was. Granted, I got what I wanted right off the bat (The Imperator), so I didn't have to go through Rockstar's bullshit RNG to obtain the item I wanted which obviously makes me pretty biased in my opinion of things.

If it didn't have the trashy unlocking system I'd say Arena Wars would've fared better.

First time seeing this user, probably because I've stopped paying attention to GTA community since around 2020.

Without reading everything they've posted, shit sounds cool but I think they're posting way too much to be legit.

Edit: Reading more, I'm going to say definitely fake. There's no reason someone in some outside marketing company would be aware of this much detailed information on gameplay and narrative, let alone the internal workings of Rockstar management. Unless they're just making that shit up for some deep opsec, of course. But it seems unnecessary for that entire background just for opsec to me.

I recall this quaint line from Vivendi about Scarface: The World is Yours:

It's funny how Scarface and The Godfather were competing in the open world video game space in 2006. The Godfather ended up winning since it had a sequel and multiple ports. All thanks to the popularity of GTA.

GTA is one of the zeitgeist games that even normies get like Madden or CoD.

They don't pay attention to gaming news because they have actual lives, so they don't know about the shady stuff Rockstar does.

You know what's weird? GTA V is both on the 360 and PS3 both not on Switch.

Besides dealing with Nintendo, the issue given is that Nintedo's hardware setup is different from the X-box/PS systems and that Rockstar doesn't want to put in the money to rework shit to play GTA 5 on Switch.
