Yep, Rockstar is still cringe.

Just wanted to drop this here but I am not too surprised.
A comment from that video:

fuckin' mood

I honestly want to know who the fuck is buying gold in RDO that is causing Rockstar to avoid announcing that they are done supporting it.

As far as I can tell, nobody plays RDO except for the diehards who don't spend any money on shark cards.
It doesn't surprise me they don't support it, but I don't understand the hesitancy to just admit it. Do they think it looks bad on them or something? Are there honestly people spending money on it still?

I still can't believe GSG used shitty compressed audio from PS2 DVD disc for Definitive Edition
They says "We couldn't find any masters teehee" but couldn't they just put all sound files on AI upscaler like how they did to textures?
Also so fucking many songs removed from original games
I understand really really popular songs like "Billy Jean" and "Africa" by Toto but it seems they didn't even try

I thought it was because Rockstar makes more money on GTA Online that they decided to abandon Red Dead? Or is it both?

It's not worth buying any gold on Red Dead when they barely add anything to the game now. Just extra XP and gold but that's hardly anything. Are there really morons out there who pay for Red Dead still?

I lost all hope for Red Dead Online. Rockstar blatantly ignores fans now.

Logic would point to them not supporting it because nobody was buying anything, but fans seem to think that the reason they don't announce that they aren't supporting it is because they want to keep milking it.

It's such a weird thought process to me. A lot of people who bitch about microtransactions also seem to be upset that Red Dead Online doesn't have more shit tailored for microtransactions which I also find weird.

And I still question if the majority of the people who bitch about RDO on twitter even still play it. It honestly seems like a pretty dead game for all the attention it gets on social media.

Edit: I'd also think at this point so many people have accumulated so much money that the games economy is completely fucked in the same way that GTA Online was fucked at launch, so if an update did some out I'd expect ridiculous fee's and transaction gates.

Was Vice City Stories ever worth playing? Also why the hell hasn’t it been re-released in anyway? Like I get that you can just emulate it but I would’ve thought for sure it would’ve been at least available digitally on the playstation store.

I liked it, but it's not like a must play or anything.

I always assumed it never got re-released due to some sort of issue with Phil Collins.

Empire system was pretty fun, and you get more of Lance if you liked him in VC, honestly his and Vic's back and forths were hilarious and it makes it worth it IMO. The graphics are complete ass tho since it was for the PSP and the controls are jank, but I digged it. I recommend the PS2 version.

"I'm just too pretty to die, hahahaha"

I feel bad for the fans especially. So much potential with RDO being a stable, niche online cowboy game. But, R* just wants money.

Sea of Thieves, even Fallout 76 didn't just sit and die. I'm guessing we'll never figure out what happened to that woman's husband.

It's pretty apparent what happened to Red Dead Online. It's not making the same money as Gta Online, not to say it's a good thing but when your CEO is a wallstreet banker type, it makes a lot of sense.

Lance had some funny lines in VCS.

Yeah, speaking of which:

Fans managed to find the original sources for the vehicles and other sound effects but a team that had access to Rockstar assets couldn't manage to do it? The remaster was just shit on every aspect.

Also, fun fact; did you know the ambulance (and the various vans) engine sfx from the 3D era is actually based from an Alfa Romeo Spider?

How sad that three critically acclaimed games of a generation were haphazardly put together to be one of the worst reviewed games of THIS generation.

This will be many people's first experience of that trilogy. It's a damn shame. These games deserve better.

From what I've seen, a lot of people who are being introduced to the 3D era through this are having fun and liking it. They aren't aware of the problems/flaws as they have nothing to judge it against.

It's kind of a sad state of affairs that all it takes to get these people to try something now are shitty shiny Fortnite graphics.

It's like R* just took a look at YouTube comments asking about "muh remaster" and just Fortnite it up.

I want to know why R* decided to piecemeal a part of each trilogy into Game Pass and PSNow.

They got better. Fans have been improving them with mods for two decades now.

Before you cry "but what about consoles!" fuck off, the original trilogy has been playable on your basic bitch Dell computers since 2006. You could have gotten them to run on something you owned in the past 15 years.

A) not everybody has a gaming computer. B) that shouldn't excuse R* just removing the originals from storefronts. PC included.
