What does this mean
In a good world, they'd both work together to improve both FiveM and GTA..

In our world however...

Seems like MM is the only GTA creator that actually sees FiveM joining rockstar as a bad thing.. Everyone is else is like "This is a GOOD thing".

FiveM is just a platform for modding, all the servers that people play on are codded and ran by completely different people. MAYBE it'll mean that GTA 6 will have better mod support, but knowing modern Rockstar they'll try to fucking monetize it.

but he's still wrong tho, because FiveM was bought only for closing it soon, it's embrace-extend-extinguish strategy

GTA IV has the worst Platinum trophy, next to Vice City's Take the Cannoli achievement/trophy. The multiplayer grind would take hundreds of hours, moreso since the community is dead.

Rockstar has seen how popular GTA 5 RP is, and are buying out the group behind the client used to make the RP servers likely to capitalize and monetize the subgenre.

I would bet money this was a "We buy you out or we DMCA you" situation.
Buying up, and most likely doin nothing, with the only thing that ever made GTA fun for longer than 20 minutes is a very smart move.

Autistic GTA IV thought:

Which GTA IV copy did/would you prefer? PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, GFWL (Windows?)

The PS3 copy looked and felt like a premium copy with the Blu-Ray disc, case and stenciled box art.
The 360 version looked great with the green case. Having Xbox Live on the branding meant that you were going to have fun online.

The Platinum Hits copy is not my favorite. The console rebranding is too much with the gray and they removed the stenciling of the logo.

Then again, I'm likely the only one that cares about game packaging.
